Dear god that place was packed. I heard they were selling preview night tickets to walk-ups. What's the point of limiting preview night to 4-day ticket holders if they're going to sell to walk-ups? No wonder it's so packed. Amazingly, I managed to get all the exclusives I wanted.

Yeah, preview night is just four 4-days. But it's been like that for the past few years. Reason why I don't do preview night anymore.

Waste of cash for a hotel for one night. Waste of time dealing with the crowds. When there's no panels or anything else to disperse the crowds into different directions, the floor will be that bad.

About to get on my way here.

I heard they showed a short trailer for Tron 2.0 with Jeff Bridges reprising his role....could be sweet.

I did see a few people walking around with what looked to be "backstage passes" that said "Comic-Con preview night" on it. Weird...

Took an hour in line on preview night. Not too bad at all. (well, compared to other years).

Took another 30 minutes (after 6pm) to actually get IN to the Con.

Biggest disappointment: seeing a Stormtrooper helmet that I paid $399 for last year from Master Replicas on sale for $175.

Biggest Score/Thrill (so far): buying a framed photo & ACTUAL STRANDS OF HAIR FROM CHEWBACCA'S mask. Beforehand, I asked Peter Mayhew & his wife about it and Peter said "probably not real no matter what", but his wife said if it was from this one booth AND they had signed letters of authenticity from the guy who made the masks, it is real. I bought it and took it down to them to sign. They checked everything out and said it was totally legit.

Here's Keanu Reaves and Jennifer Connelly from the "The Day The Earth Stood Still" panel.

Robert Rodriguez and Rose McGowan at the "Red Sonya" signing. Check out the poster. The same image was on a t-shirt I nabbed at the signing. They were tossing 'em into the crowd.

Oh, it was nice finally get to talk to you, Catch21. We happened to be in the same "Red Sonja" line. Last year we passed each other going opposite directions in the "Sarah Silverman" line.

The Red Sonya image looks cool. Nice grab. I guess the rumours of them breaking up were false.

Are any of you guys who are going to SDCC getting sketches and in the mood to do a favor? There is an artist on Sat. in the vinyl toy (kidrobot stuff) section who i want a sketch from.

Planning any more otter gatherings? I'm mostly stuck at the Hard Rock hotel shooting EW interviews, but I'll be at the WB booth covering the Watchmen autograph session at 3pm today. Look for a guy wearing a green Oregon tshirt.

Didn't get off till 10pm last night, when I finally popped over to the convention center, which was dead. Saw a couple Star Wars fan films in ballroom 20 though.

I went in 2006 and had some of the most fun in my life. I wish I could've made it this year.

I was going to for the Ghostbusters panel but being it was canceled anyway I suppose it was just as well.

Hope you're all having fun!

by the way, why is this in the "Comic Book" sub forum? This should probably be in "Movie Talk" or "Other", since the Comic Con encompasses SO MUCH (wrestling, movies, music, action figures, science fiction, horror, animae, video games, novels, and maybe some comics)

Saw the Kevin Smith 90 min thing last night. The new movie looks ok. Was it just me or was Smith a little "off" tonight? I thought it funny that the biggest pops of the night came from comments from the audience members! Also funny how Smith was STILL ripping on the guy from last year who commented that he keeps making the same films.

Nice photo op today. A pic of the backside of Ariel is not family(Disney)-friendly.

Yesterday during the "Heroes" panel, the entire cast (even mother Petrelli) showed up but most of the time was spent showing the entire first episode of season 3. Let's just say "awesome" would be the way I'd describe it. Lots going on, a few big surprises and I won't spoil anything.

Since I'm not interested in any of the early panels, this is the first day I'm not getting up at 3 or 4am. I'm beat.
