BTW, I was watching the coverage of Comic Con on G4Tech TV and they have indicated that they showed the trailer for Iron Man.
Did any of you catch that tonight?

Yeah, Jon Favreau showed in a taped clip saying that he was done filming and was in the process of editing. They showed a graphic and then Jon popped up in person. He had a camcorder so he'll probably post it on YouTube...lol
He showed some shots from Iron Man. Early looks at a few stages of how the suit looked. Also showed him flying by a couple jets and then flying off. Looks REALLY good.
If you watched the AOTS show, you might've caught me walking by. For a second. btw, Olivia is hot in person.

Okay attempt #2 -
Yeah it was crazy. I lost everyone when we walked in last night. Walked around for awhile and I bought some small Marx Bros repro movie posters. Then I went a little crazy and bought a couple of Star Wars pieces. They are the Mos Eisley cantina aliens and Jabba and his aliens as a Don and his mobsters in animated style dressed in suits and looking all gangsterish. It will look great in the media room. So I think I am tapped out. I haven't bought any Star Wars stuff since I quit collecting the figures in 2002.
Funniest thing today. To get in at 10am, they make you go upstairs and then walk around and go back down again for some dumb reason. So we are standing to the side of the stairs and 10 comes and goes. People are getting upset. It's 10:15 and I thought there was about to be a riot. I honestly cant believe they contained the crowd.
Anyway they finally let people go down the stairs. We decided to hold back a few minutes and wait and see if it gets crazy. We didn't want to get trampled like at a Who concert. So anway there was a guy with an HD camera filming the people going down the stairs. This tool says to me "Damn nothing bad ever happens when I have the camera" like he wanted to capture a trampling on tape. So my friend says "hey are you filming the sequel to PLANET EARTH?" Then my friend started comparing the attendees to a herd of animals from that documentary. The guy got really pissed off and said "I'm a documentarian, man!" We had a good laugh after that.
So other than that my left leg is killing me from when I tore my MCL last year. I think that floor is pretty harsh to walk on for long periods of time. I'll probably update more later.

I would be eternally greatful if anybody going to SDCC would sell me an extra set of the gold and silver versions of the Pimp-Daddy Destro figure Hasbro is offering.
*I'd also love the Alternators Rodimus*

Hey Everybody,
I've got (what I'm told is) a pass to the Amanda Tapping signing tomorrow morning. Found out about another event I'd rather attend at the SDCC and won't be able to make it. Not sure if they're hard to get but I've got one for anybody interested.

The 30 years of Star Wars was ridiculous. Last time I ever stay for a Star Wars panel. Sansweet came out showed some parody clips, interviewed the Family Guy creator then brought out the Lucas Arts guy who just wants to sell video games to us. Three of the games weren't even Star Wars! Sansweet comes back and shows the computer animated series trailer and beats around the bush saying the end of the decade will bring a live action series. Two years ago he said both would be on the air by now. Yeah never again.

There was one other thing that I forgot to mention before. When I was walking through the tradeshow on the bottom floor I passed the booth that sold Comicon t-shirts. They had one price for S-L, but then three different priced larger sizes (XL,XXL,and XXXL), talk about knowing your demographic

Just got home and had possibly the best yet most stressful day there.
For the past 2 weeks I knew Milla Jovovich would be doing a signing at comic con, yet nobody had any information on it. The only thing I could find was that a signing would be Saturday from 3:00 - 3:45 with her and a few others. I looked for hours for information, asked dozens of people at the show and nobody gave me a straight answer. The SONY booth said the signing would be at the booth, the autograph area didn't have any information on it and neither did anybody else it seemed.
I finally found out yesterday that they would be doing a "raffle" at 7:30AM this morning. I woke up at 4:00 AM to get to this, raced the trolley to the next stop and then spent from 6:00 - 7:00 trying to find out where to go. The "Just talk to a security guard and they'll walk you right up" plan didn't work. They directed me to 3 different lines before getting to the "Early admission line" - from there I waited from about 7:00 - 7:30 with a few others in the "Raffle" line before they started. It's called a raffle because you stand in line, when you get to the front you pull a ticket out of a bag and if it has a marking, you get a ticket. If not, you go back to the end of the line. What started as a small line of about 5 of us quickly became a line of about 75 of us. It took me 8 trips to get the ticket - others werent as lucky. In total, it seemed there were about 50 'winners' that were able to get autographs.
Feeling confident I made a bad move - asking the security/help desk for advice. After taking their advice I made the dumb mistake of removing my wristband (after being told "I just need to hold onto it, it doesnt matter if it's cut off. Just don't lose it"). I let them snip it off so I could go back home and take a shower and get something to eat before the con opened.
I come back to find out that snipping the wristband voids your admission. After freaking out badly I was able to get someone to help - saying it would be fine (just don't ever let it happen again - I won't!).
Waiting in line for the signing I was feeling great - Milla's been one of my favorite actors for years and I've tried for years to meet her. Now was gonna be my chance!
Right before going in I was told that they werent going to let me in. After pleading with them they made a one time exception. For those few minutes though, my stomache just dropped and I felt horrible.
The rules were quite strict and it was in a "hidden area" - I loved meeting her - she was actually very cool in person. Also met Ali Larter and a few others that worked on the new film. They personalized the autographs and actually talked to us a little bit.
Wanted to hang around to meet Kirsten Bell and go to the Resident Evil panel but I was ready to leave after all that (plus the Resident Evil panel was completely filled and not even starting for another 2 hours).
Might go back tomorrow, just wanted to 'share' my experience!
I'll have the photos from today up in a little while (sorting them now). I do have ones from the past 2 days for anybody interested:

Loved her in the The Fifth Element. To bad only 50 people got her autograph. Lucky you were one of them.

I hit the Futurama, BSG and Simpsons panes today. All delivered. Especially the Futurama panel. So much energy and excitement was in that room. The most that I have seen yet. The actors also read a freebie Futurama comic in the voices for the audience. That was amazing. Hope it ends up as an extra on the DVD for the new movies. Oh the BSG Pegasus mini series had a nice preview -
Low point of the day - being in a huge line for BSG and Futurama that was coming after Heroes and having the Comic Con "volunteers" come by every few minutes telling us to find something else to see because there was no way we were getting in. Finally me and the other people around pretty much told them to piss off and they didn't know what they were talking about.

Just got back from the con. Wow. Either im gettin to old or its gettin too crowded. Got in early each day, and enjoyed the nice quiet atmosphere as the exhibitors were setting up. Wed night the forklifts driving around and carpet layers quickly taping and cutting the custom carpet around the convention floor. Then BAM when they opened the doors it was a sea of people. Was a madhouse. Worse on Fri and Sat, i saw more runnin to certain booths. In Preview night i hit Hasbro and picked up my exclusives. 2 sets of 3 of the exclusives. Glad i did cause the next few days they they you needed a ticket to get a place in line and tickets were givin upstairs in the autograph area. That bites. Saw Jessica Alba like 5 feet from me as she walked to the booth for signing. :-) Sgt Slaughter at Hasbro booth for the GIJoe line of toys. 300 screening at Petco Park. Nice event set up. but i left because it took them bout one hour to do previews and introduce some warner people and celebrities. Goodybags given out, though 10 lucky people won a special 300 XBOX 360. Sadly i didnt have the winning fler in my bag :-( Saw Jennifer Love Hewitt, got her autograph today. Saw Robert Downey Jr at Marvel booth to open up a crate which had an Iron Man Armor on display. Crowds everywhere for everything, and the ELITE security doin their usual crowd control. Lots of costume too. And went to the Star wars panel, got my Indy Teaser poster. and today the Disney panel, about Prince Caspian and Pixars Wall-E. I have to tell you that Pixar movie is gonna be amazing. They showed a teaser and test and had Ben Burrt sound extroidinare from star wars demoing live some sound of the robots. Then they showed some slides. It was nice, but when they showed that loong clip, i was blown away. That looked AMAZING!!!. Those screens in Hall H are awesome, especially when they show footage in HD. WOW!!! One more highlight for me was the panel with Clive Owen about Shoot Em Up. That is one cool action movie. Thats all for now. Im gonna check my loot of free crap. :-)
