Comics on DVD-ROM: The New Future?

Wow, that's awesome. I used to love getting those big digest reprints of Archie comics as a kid.
Though this would probably never happen at a reasonable price, this makes me realize how much I would love a Disney comics collection like this.

Iron Man DVD-ROM
this is a little off-topic, but does anyone know where you can still buy the iron man dvd-rom? It seems OOP and is going for $100 or more on ebay. Curses, I waited too long!

Trevor, I found one guy that I trusted and bought a ton of comic stuff on dvd-roms but I am sure it is still considered illegal and is not public domain. It appears most came likely from torrents.
Both of these:
Jughead- DVD-ROM
msrp -$19.99
Betty and Veronica - DVD-ROM
msrp -$19.99
have been delayed until an October 1, 2008 release date.
This is available now and looks pretty cool:

Star Trek - The Complete Collection
Revisit and relive your favorite Star Trek comic books. Our collection includes all issues from 1967 - 2002, every annual, all articles and advertisements. That's over 500 issues, all in a friendly readable & printable PDF format. This is the first time you are able to purchase all publishers together on one disk for your enjoyment.
Star Trek comics were published under a licensing agreement with Paramount Pictures under a variety of top publishers - Western (Gold Label), Marvel, DC, Malibu, and Wildstorm. All are included!

I am definitely in for that Star Trek collection! I can't believe they got all the rights cleared and really have every comic from all those different publishers over a 40 year period.
Brian, thanks for this and the other info. Care to email/PM the seller?

Same here. I am surprised myself, especially if they have all the DC stuff since no DC comics have been officially released on dvd that I know of.

I was killing time at Borders yesterday and saw the DVD-ROM Ghost Rider: Blaze of Glory for $10.99 plus 75% off. Would have bitten but I've never really had much interest in GR other than when he was in the Champions.

Is there any definite list of Comics on DVD-Rom? I purchased Fantastic Four/ Silver Surfer complete collection at Circuit City for $20 and I'm interested in getting others.

Re: Comics on DVD-ROM: The New Future?
Had a serendipitous moment today.
Went into a Circuit City today to try to use my last gift cards. The store in Fairfax, which was the bright new, clean, and fully stocked store in this area before this liquidation chaos began; is now a mess, with very slim pickings. Car stereo harnesses and copies of Hancock were the only things in ample supply.
I search the small section of PC software and was surprised to find two copies of the Star Trek Comic DVD-Rom. Both looked like they had been opened, and I was afraid that someone had taken the DVDs. They really aren't packaged well, and would have been easy to steal. After some debate with store employees, they opened one up for me to verify that the DVD was inside.
Wow. I've only spent a minute paging thru a few random issues, but this is awesome. I still can't believe that they managed to get all these companies efforts in one place.
I am now a huge fan of comics on DVD, and wish that Circuit City had some of the other collections.

I found the earlier Fantastic Four collection that does not include Silver Surfer at a Tuesday Morning store last week on clearance for $12.99.

This Wikipedia page seems to have a good list:

You do realize you are responding to someone who posted the question more than two years ago and is no longer a member, right?

Cool, I never knew Deadworld was on disk. I'm not sure how 'good' that comic was but that's one I used to collect once I found there were comics beyond XMen and Batman.
And of course I have Totally Mad, which is the 7 disk version, and Absolutely Mad seems to be commanding rapacious amounts in the resellers market.
Wonder why DC didn't get into this market, although I'm not sure how sales are, and I'm sure there's more potential income in TPB collections.

And as long as we're bumping, I'll answer myself to say that I got the Star Trek and Archie collections.
Haven't read them yet because I'm not a real fan of reading on the computer--waiting till I get a tablet, I guess.

I got the Archie, Jughead, B&V, and Looney Tunes ones. Wasn't really interested in the Star Trek one. I've read a couple issues of Archie.

Never saw a Looney Tunes one.
Anyway, I am bumping this for those who might want the 40 Years of Avengers for cheap. The Amazon marketplace resellers are nuts with their prices but you can have this collection for the mere price of 9 bucks at bargaingraphicnovels.com. I already have a copy from years past so I want to leave them for those that want them.
Better buy it quick though because stuff can go quickly there.

Anybody get in on the Avengers set? Got an email just now that it was sold out, so they refunded my money...

I was too late for the deal but I guess it didn't matter.
