Wow, I really loved this weeks pulls. Blue Beetle was great, Superman.. both All star and the OYL arc were awsome and Green Lantern 10 was a great kick off.
Even picked up Marvel Zombies #5 and it was rather cool.

Have to agree with all the love for All-Star Superman...I stayed away from the All-Star Batman and Robin for all the negative reviews on it, but the Superman is great. This is definitely my most anticipated title each month. Also picked up Action Comics and GL this week, enjoyed both of those as well.

OYL Superman was a great issue. It looks like
[spoilers]the rumors about Kon are true...[/spoiler]
Green Lantern #10 was really disappointing for me. Johns doesn't know how to properly pace his books. And he apparantly loves to fill his books with crass, asinine humor. "Look at Hal Jordan! he's such an awesome guy that he sleeps with random women all the time, and when they wake up, they don't even know each other's names! there's no way to make these characters more human without stripping them of their humanity! it's not like we can show him enjoying a Pretzel like Superman! wahahaha!". And what's with him and "forshadowing" that's NOT REALLY forshadowing? he might as well go "this is going to be our story in 6 months, so don't act surprised when it happens". Kirkman in Invincible knows how to forshadow and run multiple plotlines.

How awesome was the design of the lizard people? I'm buying one when the DC Direct figures come out (you know they're coming).

I liked the artwork in ASS as I was flipping through it today. It looked really good.

Well, Im doing DCBS for May's comics and Mailorder comics for June...We'll see which one I like better. DCBS seems to be a bit cheaper (for shipping and titles), but the customer service and the fact that they take Amex is a plus for mailorder, as I had to go with the check route for DCBS. Plus, no info as to where or when to send the payment for DCBS. But in the end, price usually wins out for me so I may stick with DCBS. Just picked up Ed Brubaker's first Capt. America trade yesterday from the library and absolutely loved it. Looks like I will have to go pick up some more this weekend.

I just added up an order at MOC again. It's going to be an expensive month if I want the Absolute Kingdom Come.
And do I really need those 4 Superman Returns specials? I hate movie adaptations, but I'm interested in the back story. I saw the Comic Con Superman footage so I am 99% sure the movie will be incredible. I may have to resist those 4 issues for now.

That cover for the Kirby Eternals Hardcover looks pretty sweet. Looks expensive enough to nearly be an Omnibus, but it's not labled as such. It has 19 issues and an Annual and it's 1/2 off.
Don't know anything about the series. Like everyone I love Kirby's art though. I love the classic Marvel. Anyone ever read The Eternals before? I saw there was a new series coming too.

I'm going to try to cut back again on monthlies. Damn it, there are so many cool hardcovers coming out. I want that X-Men Omnibus and the upcoming Absolutes. Screw monthlies.
How big are these omnibuses anyway? I've been asking around....can you even hold those things and read 'em?

I've been pleasantly surprised by X-Static Presents Dead Girl. I read issue #3 this morning and loved the torture scenes involving Wong.

Ok, now I'm really confused. I understand why DCBS waited until 03-15 for my first shipment of the month on the "twice a month" due to the extra Wednesday, but a second shipment for the month has yet to be sent out.
I'm going to pay the extra $4 and go back to weekly next order. This extra pain isn't worth the couple bucks it saves.

Mine hasn't been sent either Chew. Probably more annoying to you though since you usually get yours on the last Friday of the month.
EDIT: Got home and saw the shipped notice Friday night.
