I'm just a fan of the DCBS site which is easier to use, IMO of course. In fact I added up my order at MOC last month and came out slightly more than DCBS. I'm sure anyone would be happy with either place.
I have seen a lot of little sites lately that sell comics online with only a 10-15% discount. How do these guys stay around?

Midtowncomics also has a great selection o back issues. If you can name it, they more than likely have it. DCBS is great for discounts on new stuff, but I'm sure they have very little overhead on back issues.
So it's all about what you want out of it.

Im about to sign up with dcbs I think, now do you have to update your queue monthly, or once you sign up do they send them whatever you have on a monthly basis until you tell them to stop? And should I add 52? Ive been back and forth with it and not sure if its worth investing all the money for it?

I know they have a "pull-list" but I've never used it. I'm not sure, but I think it might only pull those titles into your cart. You'll still have to complete the process of actually ordering (through checkout) on a monthly basis.
What I do is sit down with Previews every month and spend about a half-hour in front of the computer ordering my books. At first I thought it would be annoying to have to waste that time, but it turned out to be not so bad.

Spoiler:
If you haven't read it I would strongly suggest you go back and read all of Gail Simones run so far. I think she has about 20 issues under her belt and they are some of the most fun stories you'll ever read. A lot of her draw to me is her dialogue, she is very Whedon-like in that regard to me. Her stories aren't usually half bad either. Birds of Prey is certainly one of the best DC books out if you ask me. It's kind of like Gotham Central was, in that it was very consistent yet still doesn't get the love (and numbers) it deserves.

Guess I will pick up 52, and seriously think about dropping Nightwing. The last issue just bored me to death. Maybe Ill replace it with Robin, as it seems like it may be interesting. Thanks for the info guys.

I haven't read Nightwing yet, but all internet info has been negative. However, my friend who is a big Nightwing fan said he enjoyed the hell out of it. It can't be worse than the Grayson run can it?

Jack,
What did you think of Wizard World? I went on Sunday and they had some great deals. Not as much people as when I went two years ago, which I liked. Got a couple of stuff signed by Jim Lee and Turner. I'll go again next year.

I thought this week was a great week for comics. X-factor and She-Hulk were funny as hell as usual, Supergirl and LOSH was fun, and Squadron Supreme was surprisingly well-written. JMS seems to do really well on this book despite people constantly panning his Spider-man work. Although, the art stinks. The character designs look like something from the 90s Image era. And that Nuke guy looks like one of the robots that was a reject from Robocop 2. Batman was "ok", not good but not mind blowing. Still, I liked the conclusion.

I really enjoyed the new Squadron Supreme book from this week. I'm also enjoying Supermarket by Brian Wood. The 1 year later stuff has been pretty good as well. My particular favorite was Superman.
It seems that most folks in this thread are discussing DCBS. I understand getting a good deal, but I like to support my local comic shop. I only get 10% off for my hold box, but it's fun to stand around and chat with other customers and the owner.

Switch to DCBS and listen to the Comic Geek Speak podcast. You'll get that same feeling and save an additional $1.00 (over that 10%) per $2.99 cover price comic.

I still go and pick up a few issues here and there at my LCS. But honestly I can't stand the place most of the time. They had "Bizarro Day" last week and were speaking Bizarro speak. And as annoying as that was, it just got downright embaressing to watch when the guy would clumsily explain the joke to people walking in the store.

Well I made the switch to DCBS and cant wait for my first shipment...It cost me less for the whole month than it did for this past Wednesdays stash. I wish Midtown Comics would give you the same discount for in-store pickup as they do for their subscription mailorder. That would be a perfect world

I liked it. Though I was mainly there to flip Heroclix Spectres and to prepare for comic con in the sense that I was getting some of the artist sketches and signings out of the way. SDCC will be a mad house when it comes to Jim Lee and Turner, so I got both of them out of the way. I'm sure I'll want more stuff signed by them down the road and I have boxes and boxes of Johns signed stuff.
But this means that I don't have to drag my Absolute Hush down to San Diego.
Oh yeah, and I was pretty successful in getting and flipping the spectres. So now I have the conventions for the rest of the year pretty much paid for

What I read this week...
Fantastic Four 535: Not bad but looking at the cover I thought it was the same one as the last issue.
Captain America 15: Another great issue but it really makes me miss the footnotes telling me in what issue things happened.
X-Men 183: I haven't been too impressed with Milligan's run on this book but I do like Sunfire so it has that going for it.
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man 5: Solid single issue story from Peter David.
Conan 25: I hope this comic stays as good when Busiek leaves.
Witchblade 95: I started picking this up again when they revealed the Witchblades origin.
