It's only a deal for those that live in my neck of the woods, but it's worth posting. My favorite comic shop, "Gotham Knights", in Roseville, MI, is having a big sale from ow until Wednesday. I urge anyone in the area to stop by. Some great deals!
All figures and statues 33% off
All issues on the stands for only $1
TPBs and grapfic novels - 25-50% off*
(The guy working today wasn't sure if they were supposed to be 25% or 50% off, so he gave me the 50%!)
There were probably sales on backissues to, but I didn't want to spend anymore money.
My haul today....
DC Direct figures (all MIC):
Sinestro
Tomar Re
Eclipso
John Stewart/Green Lantern (variant edition)
TPBs and Graphic Novels:
Sandman: The Kindly Ones
Sandman: World's End
Hellboy: Wake The Devil
The Incredible Hulk: Return of the Monster
Daredevil: Born Again
Sgt. Rock: Between Hell & A Hard Place (hardcover)
My total: just under $85!
(Saved almost $100!)
Unfortunately, they don't have a website, so no online orders. If you're in the area, please stop by. It's a great shop!

Well, I've never read anything from Robert Kirkman before, but I keep planning on it and this looks like a good start: http://newsarama.com/forums/showthre...&threadid=8760

Wow, I was just looking through the recommendations for April and it looks like it's going to be a good month for cheap tpbs: http://www.thefourthrail.com/feature...february.shtml
In addition to The Walking Dead for $10 which I previously posted, Gotham Central's first tpb is only $10. Also, Marvel is starting a new line called Marvel Age. The tpbs will have smaller dimensions, but I think you get 6 issues for $8. While I have no idea of the quality of the new Marvel Age titles, I can attest to the quality of Runaways and I'm very much looking forward to Sentinel.

Good god, Dynamic Forces sucks. I mean, should I cancel my order so I can actually read the books I ordered? Geesh.
Oh, and nny, I'm in the same boat. I can't wait for April. That's a lot of good reading for $10 a pop.

I made 2 orders with df and both still stay waiting to be shipped. Of course, as ridiculous as this is, if they ever do this deal again, I'll be happy to take advantage of it as long as I get my stuff in.

Quake, like you I placed a DF order on Dec. 22. Like you, I was charged Feb. 4. Like you, I also have received squat from them--except maybe a headache. I've emailed 'em twice, only to get the same auto-reply in return. You've probably seen it. It's the one where they promise excellent customer service and to ship all in-stock items "within 7-10 days." Well my two ordered items have been listed as in-stock the ENTIRE duration. What the heck are they waiting for, delivery by Doctor Doom or the Watcher?? (Showing my true geek prowess there!)
Two days ago I finally broke down and called these jokers. I was hesitant to do so because it's a long distance, non-toll free number. But email, telepathy, and smoke signals didn't seem to be getting the message across so I bit the bullet and dialed. After navigating their very officious sounding voice menu, I was instructed that, "all customer service representatives were currently busy." What they were so busy doing, I don't know. It sure wasn't shipping our orders! I left my order number and contact info and have sat by the phone since like Molly Ringwald before prom--no calls from 'em. Zip. Nada.
For those who have ordered from them before, is this par for the course with DF? This was my first, and most definitely last, dealings with these super slack slackers! Sorry for the negative vibes, but this is the absolute worst customer service I've ever received from a comics store in over 20 years of patronage--and that's saying something with the industry's often well-deserved "Comic Book Guy" repute!

I think a lot of us ordered the filler Battle of the Planets #1/2 Alex Ross DF Exclusive Foil Cover $2.99.it doesn`t ship till March 2004.they are probally waiting for that.if we don`t get orders by april.time to contact bbb.they should have at least contacted us,terrible customer service by far.I also called them around december 23 and got the tape message "all customer service representatives were currently busy." I figured its was the holiday season so they must have took the week off, called just a few days ago and got"all customer service representatives were currently busy." what sucks is thier phone number is not toll-free and you have to push a bunch of buttons.
