Welcome to the forum, traglee.
There are a few Cussler recommendations in an old merged thread here:Although I cannot recommend titles, not having read any, there is a good Fantastic Fiction listing which also includes recommendations of other adventure/thriller fiction for Cussler fans:Hope this helps.

Re: Clive Cussler
There's an awful lot of them. Been putting out Dirk Pitt books for over 30 years. There are about four different franchises running now by ghost writers. Don't even know if he actually writes the Dirk Pitt ones anymore. However they are all basic cookie cutter plots across the franchises, except one, the Iassac Bell books. You could substitute Dirk Pitt for Kurt Austin and vice verse. If you like Cyclops you'll probably like them all. The absolute best of the bunch is Night Probe.
Also check out James Rollins, especially the Sigma Force ones.

I have a bunch of Cussler books I've picked up over the years for cheap at garage sales, used book sales, etc. However, I haven't gotten around to reading any of them -- I should probably look into that one of these days.

Please tell Clive the ship was the Argo. The Sailors were the Argonauts.
