I had to put it down for a minute (getting my self situated in this school semester), but so far so good. I think the characters are a little flat, but I like how the book handles time travel. The big crux of the book is that our hero is going back in time to see various luminaries looking for someone. I told a friend of mine that because of that it reads a bit like historical fan-fiction, but I don't mind that.

Thanks for the review! I will add it to me "library check out" list.

I am really enjoying the Poisoning at the Pub. It is a pleasant little mystery. I also just discovered that is a whole sub-genre of mysteries called "Cozies" and i oddly like them. I picked up a couple other books by him at the library tonight.

Gah! When did they change the cover? The original is so classic ...

...while the new one looks like a bad technothriller.

Im guessing right before Anathem due to the Cryptonomicon and B Cycle references on the cover

Are you enjoying it? The label of YA made me hesitant to buy it, but I did because of good reviews. What do you think?

My fav story

Spoiler:
Darryl Strawberry was a legend in the Mets farm system, everey one at every level knew his name and rep. One day in spring training '82 or so a bunch of minor leaugers are playing pickup basketball and Kevin Mitchell fouls Straw HARD. Straw blows up screaming DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM? IM DARRYL STRAWBERRY!! IM THE FRANCHISE!! and storms off. The court falls silent all eyes on Mitchell who looks around and says "Wait, Darryl Strawberry is a black guy?!?!?"
