Currently Reading:
I'm making my first dip into the fantasy genre in almost 15 years with the following two books.
A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. LeGuin (Book 1 in the Earthsea Cycle)- I'm about halfway done (its only 200 pages) and the book is ok. It's not pulling me in yet it is interesting enough for me to keep reading.
Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb (Book 1 in Farseer Trilogy) - I've heard great things about this trilogy and I LOVE it so far. I'm only about 60-70 pages in, but the story has already sucked me in. From what I hear, this series is not action packed, but the story is very deep and moving and character development has been excellent thus far. I can't wait to continue with it.
The Lions of Lucerne by Brad Thor - Figured I needed to dive into another thriller series since I've read all of Vince Flynn's. About 3/4 complete and I enjoy it. I like Flynn better, but this book is enjoyable.
Books on Deck
In War Times by Kathleen Ann Goonan
The Immortality Factor by Ben Bova
Counts of the Sun by Brian D'Amato

Then next up is one of these two novels:

or

I need to figure out which one comes first in the series. I know Quicksilver is billed as book one but someone told me Crypt is a prequel.
Also, i'm very stoked to see several people reading the Harry Dresden series. I loved all those books.
edit: I also love this thread because several people mentioned books that sound interesting and i added to my Goodreads list to get from the library.

Since I am a completist, I hate leaving books half finished, so I am going to finish the last 100 pages or so of:

I've just read 40 or 50 pages and I must admit the last half of the book is shaping up to be much better than the first half.
