The Goliath Bone by Mickey Spillane and Max Allan Collins. There's something not right about Mike Hammer with a cell phone fighting al Qaeda.

Still reading Ronald Reagan's An American Life. I've got about 550 pages to go and about a week before it's due back to the library. Now that the holiday fuss has died off, I should be able to return to it with more regularity.

Two words: audio books.

Between commuting, working out, doing house work, shopping, and just kicking back, I'm able to get through more than a book a week. That's an average, of course -- a thirty hour epic is going to take a while, but I can listen to an eight hour book in three, four days.

That is a terrific book, and very provocative!

I'm presently reading Gravity's Rainbow, by Thomas Pynchon. I'm writing a BLOG about my reading (how meta is that?).

Happy New Year!

I've got a hundred pages or so left of "Breaking Dawn". It's been sitting on my nightstand for weeks, I'm not really motivated to finish it. I just figure that now that I've read the first thousand plus pages of the saga I may as well see how the story ends.
