I've actually started this several times in the past, but this time I've resolved to actually finish it:

I got an advance copy from the publisher. And for all you Chuck fans out there - I'll be very curious to see what you think of Pygmy when you read it. It's not an easy read, let me tell you. It's written in almost broken english, and there's one of the most graphic scenes Chuck has ever written only 18 pages in.

Caught Stealing (Hank Thompson Book 1) and The Shotgun Rule, both by Charlie Huston. I've really started to like Noir style books...

Robert Fagles's translation of Virgil's Aeneid.

But it's for work.

For fun I've been re-reading the fourth run of Legion of Super-Heroes. I think it's the fourth run. The depressing one, from the early 90s.

Re: What are you reading? (January 2009)

I don't usually post to these threads because I haven't had time for any personal reading the last couple years - I'm determined to fit in at least a few books for pleasure this year.

Right now I'm reading:

The Prestige by Christopher Priest

During the past month, I've read:

Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay
Dearly Devoted Dexter by Jeff Lindsay
Dexter in the Dark by Jeff Lindsay

Re: What are you reading? (January 2009)

I had it on my shelf and haven't read it yet, so I figured I would try to get it in before the mini-series or whatever it is this weekend...

Also reading:

I've read this one before, but with the movie coming out, I figured I could use a refresher.
