Vinegar Syndrome -- Black Friday Sale
For those into exploitation flicks, Vinegar Syndrome is having a 50% off sale (most items) through Monday: www.vinegarsyndrome.com
Prices are only slightly lower than Deep Discount, but blow away prices at Amazon and most other retailers. Plus, free 2 day shipping for orders over $35.
I grabbed SUGAR COOKIES, RAW FORCE, GOOD LUCK MISS WYCKOFF and RUNAWAY NIGHTMARE

Re: Vinegar Syndrome 50% off sale
This kept me from hitting the buy button on a lot of their stuff, especially after even the most basic web searches for reviews and background info revealed a large portion of their catalogue — it probably goes without saying which portion, naturally
— is available free online in its entirety. Granted, those versions don't appear to be 4K scanned from vault materials or what have you, but for some of these films I'm just not sure the effort was warranted, despite their more, umm, memorable moments.
The RAW FORCE and GRADUATION DAY discs are decent enough, though. MASSAGE PARLOUR MURDERS is a chore, and only makes slightly more sense if you read the liner notes, but it might not be a keeper.

Vinegar Syndrome Black Friday 2016
Just got the email
. Really hoping all the Rudy Ray Moore shows will finally be on sale, among other stuff:

Now that Halloween is over, it can only mean one thing...Black Friday is just weeks away, and you know what that means...Our world famous Black Friday Sale is almost here! This year, in addition to our incredible price discounts and 2017 yearly package deals, we have two (yes 2!) surprise Blu-rays planned! One is an all-but-lost late 80s slasher which we've restored to its longest cut ever. The other is a 60s sexploitation classic by one of the genre's most acclaimed auteurs. Both are coming to Blu-ray for the first time and will ONLY be for sale on the VS site (and eventually other places, if there's any left).
Black Friday Weekend Sale = 11/25-11/28
For those of you waiting to order the November package, both the November titles and our December release, JACK FROST (with the limited edition lenticular cover), will be in-stock and shipping as of Black Friday.
And, in case anyone needs a reminder on what's due out in November...
• Kirdy Steven's TABOO 2 / TABOO 3 Blu-ray double feature, with all new restorations and in their proper aspect ratio for the first time on home video.
• The insane Crown International action/kung-fu/sci-fi classic, DEATH MACHINES on Blu-ray, newly restored in 4k!
• Three incredible and rare documentaries from one of our favorite filmmakers, Alex deRenzy, WEED, INNOCENTS ABROAD & SEXUAL ENCOUNTER GROUP, with the latter two coming to home video for the first time ever.
• And finally, an oddball double feature of two 80s skinflicks, SILK, SATIN & SEX / TURN ON WITH KELLY NICHOLS, from the aptly named Lawrence Talbot.
• ...and the two secret Black Friday blu-ray releases!
Also available for pre-order on Black Friday will be our January 2017 titles. We have 4 more Crown titles in the works (all Blu), including a much-requested slasher, a sexploitation masterpiece, and a Blu-ray double feature of two psychotic vanity pieces. We will also have our first hardcore Blu of the year (which also happens to be one of the best hardcore features of the 80s), along with another hardcore DVD.
Till next time...

re: Vinegar Syndrome -- Black Friday Sale
I'm ashamed and mad at myself that I caved in and bought the Don't Answer the Phone slip. I didn't even like the movie! (it's billed as horror but it's more of a police procedural, imagine a slightly darker episode of CSI). But I got taken in by the artwork, and hell, if I decide to sell it in the future I'll be able to fetch more because of the limited slip.
I'm holding out on some other titles till they get cheaper. Hoping Summer Camp Girls with the slip makes it to Valentine's Day, then in May I'll probably go for the Camille Keaton set, Trauma, maybe a couple of others.

re: Vinegar Syndrome -- Black Friday Sale
I’m sure most of these can be had year round at Deepdiscount with similar prices with that 15 off coupon which seems to show up like on a monthly basis.

re: Vinegar Syndrome -- Black Friday Sale
Does Deepdiscount get the slip editions though? I mean, I know it's just a piece of cardboard but the Vinegar Syndrome slipcovers are indeed a thing of beauty. For most companies I don't care.
Also, I think if you buy from VS directly, they see a bigger profit margin than if you buy from a retailer. I like what VS does, and while they're in no danger of going out of business anytime soon it makes me feel a little better that my money is going to them directly. Not so much that I want to pay full price for their stuff, but still...
