I like that they are releasing in 4K but when given the option who isn't going to opt for watching this in 3D!

2011, beer league hockey game, took a puck to the face and that was about it for the vision in my left eye. 3-D movies are a thing of the past for me.

(However, I've seen Flesh for Frankenstein TWICE theatrically in 3-D before that, so I can at least rely on memories of Udo Kier's gall bladder hanging over me as he gives a seemingly endless speech)

I'm really looking quite forward to that one myself. I'm waiting on that and the Black Friday bundle. I'm interested in the Nunsploitation set, but want to hold off until I see some movement on the previous orders.

Much like Friday the 13th 3D I always thought the ONLY reason to watch the movie was for the 3D effects.

I’m giving up hope…I have received and watched my Nun set, received and started watching the amazing folk horror set, but no movement on my BF order as of yet from Severin. My VS order shipped 10 days ago and I still don’t have it yet 😞

That sucks, man. I did receive a shipping notice for the Folk Horror yesterday.

With VS, I'm fortunate that I'm in RI. Everything usually only takes 2-3 days max to arrive from CT. Hope you get it soon!

That's easily a 400 dollar box. I had to pull myself back from VS, as I was spending hundreds on movies I would watch once. I think Beastmaster and maybe one or two others are the only ones I have viewed more than once. Their slipcovers are top notch.

re: Vinegar Syndrome -- Black Friday Sale

I hear ya, but if you're a little patient and don't get the movies the month they're released, you can spend a lot less on the exact same movies. You might miss out on the slipcovers (which I do agree, are top notch), but you can get most VS movies for little more than what you pay for a single movie ticket nowadays if you play the waiting game.

I won't lie, I've been burned on more than a few blind buys from the company, movies that got high marks and positive reviews, but absolutely put me to sleep. But I've also found several gems I wouldn't have seen elsewhere (Sudden Fury, Snapshot, Deadline, and Malibu High come to mind), along with a few longtime faves like Beastmaster, Flesh for Frankenstein and The Candy Snatchers. Big Vinegar Syndrome fan here.

i like quite a few of their movies, the overall packages are great (slips and features). I have some duds too, but they also all seem to have good resale value as well if you don’t want to hang on to them. There aren’t many more limited editions I don’t have, so next sale will be much cheaper for me (maybe &#128556

I ordered a bunch of lower stock titles this sale. Nothing I’m in a huge hurry to watch, but I’ve overpaid for enough oop titles in my time that I’ll buy things when I can.

Maybe as a semi-pre-order, as they're reissuing the 4K due to an error, but the repressed discs aren't ready yet. Late January, they're saying.

re: Vinegar Syndrome -- Black Friday Sale

The only current code is for those who bought Flesh for Frankenstein on BF.

They don't do a lot of discount codes like that. Sometimes they'll hide one as an easter egg on a release, but I don't know of any active ones. Or they'll give one to those who buy from a sale, like "PATIENCE5" if they're severely delayed in shipping orders out. Mostly it's about three yearly sales with VS: The Black Friday, the Halfway to Black Friday (Memorial Day weekend), and a Valentine's Day sale of adult titles.

re: Vinegar Syndrome -- Black Friday Sale

If you're on the mailing list, you should have gotten today's announcement that the annual Valentine's weekend adult sale begins next Friday at 12:01 (so essentially late Thursday night). This, by the way, is why you DON'T buy those movies at the Black Friday sale. You barely get that shipment unboxed before the Valentine's sale happens.

re: Vinegar Syndrome -- Black Friday Sale

are any of their UHD releases considered a great deal at their current prices? I'm intrigued by Flesh for Frankenstein since it includes the 3D also, but $53 still seems a bit steep. Not sure something like Sex World at 50% off is worth buying?

Except for Sex World, I'd say no. That's the only one 50% off.

re: Vinegar Syndrome -- Black Friday Sale

Yeah, the only titles on sale this weekend are adult titles. I wanted to get in and out (huh huh) quickly, not linger around the site or I'll make too many impulse purchases, but I forgot to use my Frankenstein discount from BF!
I did get:
Summer Camp Girls (w/slipcover)
A Taste of Genie
Naughty Girls Need Love Too

Sex World is pretty good for an X-rated movie, my only gripe is that it opens with a bus full of folks going to Sex World, but then we get a good 30 minutes of flashback scenes (in other words, sex scenes) of all the main characters first. I was like Milhouse Van Houten sobbing, "When are they gonna get to Sex World?"

No, that's the PRE-ORDER for the Halfway sale.

If you're gonna get Thriller or the other titles that will be first available at that sale, they're slightly cheaper this weekend. That's it. Actual Halfway sale will be Memorial Day weekend.

Pre-ordered both Thriller: A Cruel Picture (1973) & Miami Connection (1987)

Can't wait to see these in 4K!
