Re: Gruv.com (Universal store) sales

I listed Mr. Robot because it was in Gruv's top sellers, so they might have matched the Prime Day price yesterday.
The weird thing is, Gruv isn't even promoting these prices, that's why it's hard to tell what's a Prime Day match.

I can confirm that Mr Robot was listed at the Amazon LD price of 29.99 at least for a while. I'll assume after the LD price on Amazon ended, Gruv put their price back to their std listing.

Sometimes things are misspriced on Gruv. They had a Blu-ray of Get Him To The Greek priced over $100. Also, use SIGNUP20 for 20% off at GRUV.

Alfred Hitchcock Classics Collection 2 4K is 39.99, meaning 31.99 after SIGNUP20. AFAIK that's a new low.

Vol 1 went down to as low as $24.99 (before 20% off) IIRC, although this one has 5 titles. Will hold out a bit more

Isn't the SIGNUP20 code only good for someone's first order at GRUV? I figure from it's name it was single use.

Maybe it's supposed to be, but it's been allowing multiple uses for many, many, many months.

14 of them so far. I think I've made 5 or 6 orders with it including a big 20 item package that arrived today.

The Last Kingdom Complete Set is down to $42 with code. By far the cheapest it's ever hit.

Re: Gruv.com (Universal store) sales

I'm really debating on buying the Alfred Hitchcock Classics Collection. $31.99 is a great deal, but I hate the packaging. I bought the titles from the prevous Alfred Hitchcock classics collection individually when they were on sale for $10 each on Black Friday last year just so I wouldn't have to deal with that awful packaging. The Back to the Future 4k set has similar packaging and I couldn't get the discs out of it.

I like how you can cart things and it saves the deal for you. I finally pulled the trigger on a Black Friday deal

That's interesting... I never left anything in my cart long enough to notice that behavior...

As long as you don't clear your cookies it will save the deals.

I haven't checked, but I suspect that means you have to use the same computer. I haven't had anything back to BF, but I did recently have a March deal and Fathers Day deal I finally pulled the trigger.
I also went ahead and ordered the 5 individual Hitchcocks -- not $10, but 11+tax was close enough. I was a bit surprised that this set of 5 ddin't have the Universal Rewards code like the original 4 did. Instead
of simply typing in a code now i have to upload the receipt and hope the UNIVERSAL CSR gives the proper points value.

At least I have all 9 slipcovers -- not critical, but it is a nice bonus

After posting that I checked GRUV to find I'd actually left some stuff in my cart during a prior sale. I found several things are less expensive now - adding those to the cart again changed their price to the lower one and didn't affect any other cart prices. I have a couple of browsers installed I use primarily for testing so may load those up with sale stuff for later...

For anyone who is region free and intetested in a great set, the uk version,(there are 3 total in different countries), of “ The house of hitchcock “ omits the TV stuff but includes Strangers on a train , and dial m for murder , and that was perfect for me-

Re: Gruv.com (Universal store) sales

Hot sales items tend to disappear pretty quickly at GRUV. Once they match Amazon, it almost immediately gets posted over at SlickDeals. They don't seem to carry deep inventory of any non-Universal items.
