Son of a bitch, I just bought the Nightmare collection for $23 and now it’s $17.

Also they announced it’s coming out in 4k

Always nice to have more choices on 4k players.
Especially since there are not many to choose from. The 450 has apparently been available overseas since 2019 and is a late entrant stateside. It’s a no frills player with HDR and DV while jettisoning apps, WiFi and the HDR image optimizer which many rave about. But at $200+ less than the coveted 820, think I can live with it IF it works well

When I came home at lunch, the news happened to be doing a story about how free returns and exchanges were likely a thing of the past and more stores are charging fees. They gave a number like more than $700 million in returned goods last year, how people abuse the policy, etc. I just caught the tail end of the story, but it seemed exactly like what we were discussing.

Re: Amazon: Blu-ray discounts and deals mega-thread

It’s a plague, and one that organized criminals have found to be incredibly easy to operate within, not to mention all of the regular buyers who caught on and are just looking for free shit. Amazon, in particular, as the largest retail site out there, often seems like they’re just too big to put a stop to it, as if it’s now a built-in cost of doing business because the crooks and facilitators are spread around the globe and presumably hard to catch. Granted, I’m sure every retail business in the history of retail businesses has had to account for certain losses to due to shoplifters, phoney returns, and other online fraud, but the levels to which the latter two have risen now are absolutely mind-boggling. I mean, when people are establishing businesses to rip off your business, it’s long past the point of being a cost of doing business.

It became a widespread problem for businesses when criminals started looking for easier scams they could exploit during the COVID lockdowns.

On the other hand, about a month ago, I accidently bought a box set 2x. I stated it had been opened & not played. Amazon hit me almost a 50% restocking fee. It was "Sold by Amazon".

So you did it a second time? Maybe you can explain: why do you think you deserve a full refund for returning opened products? If it were unopened or defective, I understand why you would expect that.

Why would you open both items if you ordered it 2x?

I completely understand the restocking fee if the product was opened. If it was still sealed, I would be complaining about that. It's used once it's been opened and the seals have been broken.

Just FYI: The codes are probably expired and won't redeem if there are any included.

Sigh....... Something I ordered today from Prime said "Same Day Delivery" & it's scheduled for Saturday. I can wait, but the incompetence is beyond irritating.

Smallville: The complete series

$71.99

Less than 8 dollars per season. It's a great deal if you have the time to watch it. 10 seasons.

Got my $15 copy today, and it was the 4k.

Had a feeling. I’ve made many purchases from the Amazon Global Store over the years, and while there are sometimes little things in the listing particulars that give me pause, I’ve always gotten what I was expecting.

Great prices on some quality recent releases. However, seems to be it has to be in exact sets of 3 for the promotional pricing. It’s not ‘3 or more’
