Matching Best Buy https://www.bestbuy.com/site/the-fre...?skuId=6487874
Support the company Amazon is matching. If those companies stop having deals, so will Amazon

(French Dispatch) I'm glad it was only $4.00. I'm likely going to finish it, but I wouldn't be happy if I'd paid much more. Recently made French/English Art house in full screen! Also goes back & forth between color & B&W. The reason I'm not leaving a plot summary, is because after watching, I'm not totally sure what the plot was! There is a very loose framing story about a French Newspaper in Kansas City........Very strange film.

I should get Poltergeist at that price. I still have the old WB SE DVD that isn't really that special. And it would be nice to add that to my discs for Part 2 and 3 from Shout Factory.

Be aware many WB Digital codes issued appr 2yrs or earlier don’t work any more. Most have been repackaged to not include them but if you find any, good chance won’t work. Lost love for WB after this

The Shaw Brothers set is sold out via Amazon it looks like. Only higher third party prices.

I want to get Fast X eventually. I’m going to wait until it gets cheaper. Don’t need it that bad and I can just rewatch it on Peacock anytime.

Picked up the LOTR 4K Set ($39.99) and the Harry Potter 4K Set ($59.99). Lowest I've seen both of those.

Someday I'll get a 4k player to go along with my TV. I've only seen 4k on a 4k firestick into a 4k input on my TV, & to be honest, I don't see any difference.

it’s not as much the resolution as it is HDR that makes for an enriching viewing experience.

I've got a Sony X85J. Would any blu-ray player (Mine is an Oppo 95) with HDMI & Any 4k Firestick output HDR?

I was skeptical of 4K myself but for some movies it really does bring out more detail and color. That is if you have the TV for it and the 4K player. For 4K streaming, quality depends on how fast your streaming speeds are (should be higher than 10mpbs), and even then you can get hiccups in the streaming so a true 4K experience is from an actual disc were the possibility of a hiccup is reduced significantly.

Just got my LOTR 4K set, and the first movie looks significantly better than the BD version. Color-correction is also nice on the 4K set.

Also wanted to add the Avengers Infinity War and Endgame 4K look fabulous, even Iron Man 1,2, and 3. The latest Dr. Strange looks amazing if you got Dolby Vision (although it would probably still look great with any other encode).

I see, sorry wasn’t aware it was a targeted promotion. Saw the coupon pop up on one of my items in the cart and so thought I’d share it.

Re: Amazon: Blu-ray discounts and deals mega-thread

A bunch of Shout Factory horror Blu-rays and 4Ks seem to be on sale. Can’t find a specific sale page, but find one and you’ll find a bunch in the related items. Prices seems on par with Shout’s sale prices, maybe a bit better in several cases.
