Jaws 2 4K is $19.99 and there's also a $2.40 coupon if anyone is interested.

I waited too long trying to find the duplicates from the Golden Collection DVDs (not that many actually) and now the deal for the Bugs Bunny set is gone and all the re-sellers have it back up to $50+ again.

I have really fond memories of the old Warner toons. Problem is, other than Betty Boop, other early Max Fleischer, The later Space Ghost series & Cow & Chicken, I'll buy a cartoon set & only make it through a couple. Dealing with that right now with a Big Lots Flintstones S01 set. I've still got an almost complete early Popeye box set I bought years ago that I've never been able to make it through.

And those few overlaps got a remaster job for the BR...

Here's what you were wanting:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugs_B...ary_Collection

Scroll to the bottom and there are links to the Platinum Collections. Those specifically index which have been released in the past in a collection (Golden, Superstar, or other).

That's so confusing, the Disney Treasures releases were done so much better.

Thanks, though, I'll watch for it on the used market or something.

Re: Amazon: Blu-ray discounts and deals mega-thread

My take on it is if you are a Looney Tunes fan then you should purchase the BR releases even if you already own the DVD collections (any or all) as they offer upgraded video, often remastered, and present some in the OAR which got WS only releases on a Super Star collection. That Bugs Bunny 50th got some push back from fans, some deservedly so, but it's still a worthy collection. It'll eventually come back in stock and sell in the $30 range often - at least that's what's happened in the past with that one.

Re: Amazon: Blu-ray discounts and deals mega-thread

I've had my eye on the Bugs Bunny collection. I have quite a few of the Gold collections DVDs, but I missed out on the Platinum collection volumes 1 and 2. I recently bought the Platinum Collection Volume 3 Blu-rays. Volumes 1 and 2 on Blur-ray are out of print and selling for over $100. I bought Bugs Bunny today. They were offering me a $1 credit for slow shipping, but I took the 2 day option, because I was worried they would sell out and possibly cancel my order.

The 4k was $10? That seems cheap for a then, new release (4 months old).

Anyway, pulled the trigger. What's $5 if I can enjoy it now?

Yeah Everything, Everywhere, All at Once was $9.96 at Walmart on Black Friday. I picked it up curbside and waited over 20 minutes for them to bring it out. I still haven't watched it yet....

we may have tried to pick up on the same day and parked next to each other at the same time at the same place. Because mine took 15 mins too and I was starting to grumble because the picked up confirmation email arrived 10 mins before the item was handed over curbside. And yes, haven’t watched it yet 😀

They're now offering a nearly $11 coupon off it.

I'd bet they're using the coupon as a PM for Target's 20% off movies offer for Circle members. They did the same thing for the Jackie Chan V2 collection.

Received the used copy today. Beat up slip housing the slip box. And the number of stickers slathered on the front and back directly on the slip cover !!! The case of ''Possessed' was broken along the spine and hence had damaged the artwork. At this point, am more than confident no QA exists in Amazon used listings.

Amazon Warehouse is wildly hit or miss. I bought an expensive music set which only had $20 knocked off - the outer shell of the box set was badly damaged despite being listed "like new" condition. That I had to return. Then last week I took a chance on another expensive box set which said "acceptable" condition at $60 off, which usually means trashed. Outside of a small tear on the spine, the set was brand-new and factory sealed.

Not a BD, but I got the old Poltergeist the Legacy TV series from Amazon for $19.99. All 4 seasons. It's no longer available from the VEI website. That's the lowest it's ever been.

I watched Poltergeist: The Legacy off and on when it first aired and I don't remember a single thing about it except a couple of cast members. Anyone recommend the show? I remember it was vaguely like the X-Files without the great leads, more of an ensemble.

I watched the first season last year and thought it came across as hokey and dumb. Maybe it got better but I had no interest in continuing it.

This will get an eventual CC release but for $3.99, I'll test it out first before committing to that future CC edition.
