Anyone know if the digital codes will redeem in 4K for iTunes? It’s $14.96 on Amazon.

I wish there would be re-releases of the Bond movies individually so I could fill in the gaps in my collection. That or I’ll wait for a set after the new one comes out (whenever that is).

Apparently at midnight Sun/Mon it was 94.XX again, but 13 minutes later (which is when I found it), it was back to marketplace....

The Columbia box is back to marketplace, but watch that space if you're interested, -it cycles in and out regularly (I caught one at 2am, and it was gone shortly after). The ship dates change also, -originally it was early November, now it's mid-October.

Amazon has finally matched Best Buy on the Friday the 13th box, -129.99.

I'm holding out on those sets. Historically, they get massive price cuts not much later (except for the F13th set unless it's been mass produced).

Don't expect a massive price cut for F13. It's Shout Factory, a small label. They can't afford to discount their sets that much.

Also keep in mind, the sets eventually go out of print. The previous Halloween box set is long out of print. Shout only has a license to sell the product for a set period of time and once that expires, they only have what's left in inventory.

Picked up the three horror 4k's from Blue Underground; The New York Ripper, Zombie, The House by the Cemetery. Reviews have said the transfers are stellar.

Too many, too random to list, but Amazon is currently including a number of coupons on a number of items (not included in the 3 for 2).

I ended up snagging a second order:

New York Ripper 4K
House by the Cemetary 4K
Gladiator/Braveheart 4K 2-pack

Total was about $73.88 shipped and I used the slowest shipping option to get $3 in digital credit. Now that's a score for those Blue Underground discs and the other two - basically $18.47 per film. New York Ripper is no longer part of the sale either.

Perhaps worth noting this is also part of the B2G1 promo, so if you have a couple other movies or books in the $10-$15 range you can make the deal even better.

Re: Amazon: Blu-ray discounts and deals mega-thread

I'm really irritated with Amazon at the moment. Did a buy 3 pay for 2 box set order (see above). Due to rampant porch pirates where I live, I directed them to a storage locker. The IDIOTS at Amazon sent one of the boxes by USPS, who don't have access to the storage locker I chose.

I am on really good terms with my mail carrier (he even gave me his personal phone number) & he's going to try to find the package in the morning. My concern is that if he doesn't, the Amazon CS in Asia will probably not understand the sale pricing, & just want to refund me the missing set; which would mean I would have paid regular price on the other 2. Why does so much have to be such a hassle with Amazon........

Bringing back ALL CS to the USA would not only create a TON of jobs, but would also make this sort of thing so much easier to deal with.

Here's hoping my local mail person is able to intercept the package. He said he would deliver it to my home if he's able to find it.

I hope that they find it for you. I had that issue too once. It turned out that it wasn't because USPS couldn't deliver to an Amazon locker. They can. It was because the postal worker who delivered to that address was clueless about Amazon lockers and couldn't figure out how to do it. My local mail person (not the one who was supposed to deliver to the locker) assured me that they deliver to Amazon lockers all the time, and that the deliverer was an idiot (my words, not his). Not sure if this is the same as your situation, but it might be that USPS is at fault here, not Amazon.

Re: Amazon: Blu-ray discounts and deals mega-thread

I did a buy 2 get 1 free deal, and the package was out for delivery yesterday, then somehow became marked as undeliverable and refund pending. I have to wonder what the box looked like that the delivery person killed the order, and why there wasn't a way for Amazon to just replace this order rather than cancel it. To get the B2G1 deal now on a reorder, I will have to talk to Customer Service since that promotion ended on Saturday.
