Re: Arrow Video Sales Thread

Yet another deal on SHAWSCOPE 2, potentially.

Amazon just marked it down to $72 but also has it included in the ‘Buy 2 Get 1’ deal they’re matching Target on. Theoretically, if you could find two other boxed sets or books for that price, it would reduce the price to a little under $50. The problem, however, is that whenever Amazon matches Target the ‘B2G1’ deal is turned on and off at random, and obviously finding three $70-ish items might be a chore.

There are several eligible comic book omnibuses around that price in the B2G1 sale and maybe a few of the more expensive anime box sets. But you really need a list already at your disposal since Amazon changes eligibile items so often.

‘Harvest Season’ Sale (up to 50%) at Arrow, Oct 10 - Nov 3:

https://www.arrowvideo.com/c/campaigns/harvest-season/

Decent price on the SISTER STREETFIGHTER COLLECTION at $10, incidentally, as well as the deluxe DEMOLITION MAN at $20 (more than half off), and three of the GIALLO ESSENTIALS sets (which are kinda mixed bags) for $30 each.

Re: Arrow Video Sales Thread

From this "Harvest Season" sale I got the "Enter The Video Store" box set & threw in the "Dead Or Alive" trilogy since it was only 10 bucks. I had a $10 credit, too, so...

Re: Arrow Video Sales Thread

Good sale but wow, there are so many pop-ups on that site. One pop-up for their e-newsletter also auto-scrolled me back to the top of the page.

"Up to 50% off" meaning it's not even as good as B&N having all Arrow for 50% off

Re: Arrow Video Sales Thread

^ The link I posted was ‘new to old’ and indeed their newer releases aren’t usually 50% off, but viewed ‘low to high’ a large number of their older releases are more than 50% off at $17.00 (about five pages worth of listings on my phone). Also, many of the boxed sets are 55-60% off, which I don’t think B&N usually does (?). For folks who don’t jump at new releases the first time they go on sale anywhere (or worse, just pay full price right out of the gate), waiting a bit can save a couple extra bucks more often in the Arrow sales. For buyers who are ‘caught up’ on Arrow’s catalog and only want new releases, then B&N does seem to include them sooner.

Re: Arrow Video Sales Thread

Their new "sales" are shit compared to B&N, Amazon, and even some sellers on Ebay, unless it is a limited version no longer available. And the pop-ups are excessive and very annoying. There are a couple of online small shops that have good prices on Arrow forthcoming releases and even ship them earlier. I have had my 4k Excalibur, Westworld, and The Visitor releases for a week.

Re: Arrow Video Sales Thread

The Memento Mori collection would be tempting but I have 3 of the films on DVD.
