I noticed some higher prices, too. A bunch of these boutiques have slyly done that over the last year or so, I think. Some of Severin’s discs are either the same or less in the Grindhouse sale, though not by much, but Grindhouse’s shipping is probably cheaper, so it’s probably worth comparison shopping for those who are considering orders. Same for the boxed sets when they go on sale, as noted a few posts back.

The Black Emmanuelle set seems unusually good at Grindhouse at $125 compared to everywhere else, do I hold out hope for a $100 price point?

Hope you got Uncle Peckerhead or Butt Boys which, terrible titles aside, are some of the best ones they current have for sale.

The Severin Box Set sale is live, and the Emmanuelle set isn't in it, and based on Severin's retail price of $289.95, I don't see them ever getting it down to $100. Don't quote me on that, but what the hell, quote me on that.

https://severinfilms.com/collections...y-box-set-sale

In fact, I rechecked my earlier predictions (see below) and Severin must have increased the MSRP on these boxes, because now their 50% off pricing is higher. Everything is cheaper at Grindhouse, and the flat rate shipping probably is too. Proceed accordingly.

Nasty Habits
Grindhouse: $45
Severin: $49 $50

Andy Milligan
Grindhouse: $90
Severin: $87.50 $99

Eurocrypt 1
Grindhouse: $68
Severin: $73.50 $75

Eurocrypt 2
Grindhouse: $62
Severin: $66.50 $68

Steckler
Grindhouse: $100
Severin: $104.50 $110

Lenzi Baker
Grindhouse: $55
Severin: $54.50 $60

Violent Streets
Grindhouse: $62
Severin: $66.50 $68

All The Haunts
Grindhouse: $120
Severin: $118.50 $140

Psychotic Women
Grindhouse: $50
Severin: $51 $52

Wings of Disaster
Grindhouse: $22.50
Severin: $24.50 $23

Re: Deals Thread for Cult, Genre and/or Non-Region A Blu-Rays

Pulled the trigger at Grindhouse on the sets I was watching:

I really want that Black Emmanuelle set but I am going to hold out for a better price or a better price with the swag. Also its not like the Black Emmanuelle's Box DVD sets I got on clearance from Severin years ago get a ton of replay...

Thanks Brian!

Thanks for the tip on this! Ended up not only getting Psychotic Women and Steckler from there, but some really good stuff in their B2G1 sale.

Re: Deals Thread for Cult, Genre and/or Non-Region A Blu-Rays

I'm feeling sort of underwhelmed with most of the offerings this year. There are definitely some deals to be had, but I think I might be good with the glut of UHDs I bought at Best Buy and Gruv. I was hoping for a better deal on the Steckler set. I might still break down and get it at Grindhouse, but I think I can wait.

Congrats to those who ordered Severin boxes from Grindhouse. They sent out their weekly ‘new release’ email this morning with an update on the concurrent sales (which end Tuesday and Thursday), noting that the Severin boxed sets have been removed and “will not be returned to the sale.” I assume that’s because Severin’s own one-day sale ended, and not because Severin lost a few sales to them because they were cheaper.

That makes my decision for me. I guess I'll hold off hoping to see those prices again in the future.

Looks like some Shawscope Volume Two sets fell off the back of a truck. There are multiple shady sellers on eBay listing the new Blu-ray set for $69.

They were $35US in at the beginning of Arrow’s October sale. I doubt it was a mistake, but it didn’t last long. I only noticed it because I kept the box in my wishlist and Arrow sends email notifications when wishlist items drop in price. I got the email at 7 am (and posted about it here, but I’m not sure how many saw it at that hour). I ordered at 7:24 am and it was still up for a little while after that (which is why I didn’t think it was a mistake so much as a little ‘bonus’). I bought three, but the extra two won’t be resold for a long time. After ordering, though, I was kinda kicking myself for not ordering five or ten (or more!), which I’m wagering is what a lot of those eBay sellers did.

That makes a lot of sense. It would explain why each seller only has 5-10 copies.

The UK postage service raised it at their end, & Trump threatened to leave the world wide postage consortium if ALL other countries didn't raise their postage to the USA. Yet another Trumpism that Biden COULD have repaired but he hasn't.

Radiance Films sale at MVD;
https://mvdshop.com/collections/radiance-year-end-sale

It’s not a complete collection, though, and I’m pretty sure a few of these were cheaper in a mixed-label sale at Diabolik in October, so your mileage, etc.

Thumbs up on Radiance Films, everything I've come across from them is quality work.

The Messiah of Evil release is the only one I’ve grabbed and it seems good. Jus not interested in most of they titles so far. Glad I waited for VS’s Horrible Doctor Hitchcock though
