Re: Target deals

Picked up Despicable Me 2 (Not sure if its Target exclusive or not, looks fairly normal) as well as Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Pretty nice sale.

The Target exclusive with the bonus disc has a banner at the top. Those are probably long gone by now. I picked one up a couple months ago when it was on sale for $13.

Re: Target deals

Fucking Target. I want a bunch of these but I'm trying to cut back since I got a lot in January. I'll try to limit myself to only two or three of the following.

American Hustle
August: Osage County
Begin Again
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
The Expendables 3
Fast & Furious 6
The Fault in Our Stars
Her
Red 2

I'm thinking Begin Again, The Expendables 3, and Her.

Re: Target deals

I picked up Get On Up (Blu, DVD + UV) -- the James Brown bio pic for $10 today as well. Doesn't seem to be on the other lists.

Re: Target deals

And beware. I tried to do an in-store pick up of Gravity and they tried to give me a single disc blu ray and not the Blu, DVD + UV that's advertised.

Great, thanks!

...although... I just checked my receipt and there's no mention of the title on it, just "blu-ray". Weird..

Wasn't that exclusive also a digibook?

I checked my Target for the DM2 digibook exclusive and they were long gone. Lots of the normal version. Wasn't too long ago that there was many copes of the digibook left on the shelves.

This sale seems to be getting people to buy. They were totally out of The Boxtrolls BD and many other titles that are part of this sale.

In addition to being a very entertaining biopic with a lot of good music, Get On Up is the new reference video standard on Blu-ray. Trust me when I say it looks incredible on a calibrated display. Better than Avatar...

This is the kind of A/V quality found on Blu-ray you simply can't get from streaming.

Nope, the digibook was a different version as well, but also included the bonus disc. I thought it was also weird that Target had two different exclusives for this release. And neither included the 3D version.

Weird indeed. I scored the digibook on release week.

Pickup Mr. Peabody and Sherman at my Target. Wanted to get The Boxtrolls but they were out for now, will check out a couple of days to see if they got some in stock.

Re: Target deals

Don't forget you can have walmart match the online price and you can use instawatch to add the digital copy to your vudu account(if you have one and if the movie you want is instawatch ready)and have the extra digital copy to give to a friend or family member.

I had no problems price matching at my local wallyworld.

Re: Target deals

I don't know if was mentioned yet, but there is a Target Cartwheel 20% off for Begin Again that should stack with the sale

Saw the same guy a few minutes later pushing a load of carts from the parking lot back into the store -- I would say the guy in management material except he seems to be working too hard so I really don't want to insult him.
Yep, it didn't work for me either. The cashier just processed a store coupon for $2.50. Apparently she couldn't compute 20% off $10. I know there is an item discount key, so I also thought it was odd she did it as a store coupon, but I wasn't going to argue with her...

Re: Target deals

I went to Target today looking for Chef, Get On Up, and Begin Again. They were sold out of Chef and Get On Up, but I grabbed the last copy of Begin Again. I'm going to try one more Target tomorrow.

Re: Target deals

Thanks for the Heads-Up folks! The Cartwheel coupon wouldn't work, but I got the override. For $8, I was more than happy to give Begin Again a blind purchase.

Re: Target deals

All of the movies in the $10 section are on sale today for $8. Plus there's a coupon in the weekly ad for "$5 off $25" , and some people are seeing a $10 off $40 (didn't have that one advertised at my store).

Also saw:
Horns $9.99
Kite $12.99

Re: Target deals

You can send a text to 827438 (or TARGET) for the mobile versions of the coupons.

For the $10 off $40, text MOVIES
For the $5 off $25 text MUSIC

Not able to get the text version to work. Is there any other way to get either coupon.

Re: Target deals

If you view the ad online, it has a 'get the coupon' button, but it just takes you to a blank page at coupons.target.com, which I'm guessing means it's supposed to be up there, it just isn't yet.

Re: Target deals

Here are the links I got, I don't think they're unique:
$10 off $40
$5 off $25

The numbers match the ones from my phone, so I agree. They aren't unique.

Will those work as printouts? They indicate "mobile coupon"...

A bit late, as the sale is over, but thanks Vermiknid and PhantomStranger for mentioning this. I picked it up on Saturday.

This is a really good (but far from perfect) film that got ignored when it opened the same weekend as Guardians Of The Galaxy. Well worth $10 for the music and the lead performance alone.
