Re: Target deals

Just threw in another pre-order, and it does look like they corrected it. So those of us who got in on the double gift card may be getting an email with the correction.

Re: Target deals

Wow, I got in just in time then. My order with both gift cards was placed like 10 minutes ago. Thanks for the post Matty!

Re: Target deals

I placed an order early this morning (before 6am CDT) and I only saw one $5 gift card in my cart and the order summary. Not sure why it was different. Still a decent deal for 3D Blu-ray.

Re: Target deals

The regular BD page for Civil War also shows two $5 gift card offers.

Re: Target deals

I just cancelled my Civil War order at $29.99 and reordered at $27.99. No double gift card for me though.

Re: Target deals

Now Batman v Superman is having the same gift card offer that Civil War was. The nice thing is it's on all of the versions (including the UHD), so I picked up the 3D version for $29.99 w/ $10 in gift cards.

EDIT: Jungle Book has it too!

Re: Target deals

Damn, that's nice. $14 and change for Jungle Book and $19.99/change for BvS UHD. Those are prices that will keep me buying, and ordering from Target. And I already have Civil War ordered. I wonder if they'll do X-Men: Apocalypse as well.

Re: Target deals

Got the Batman v Superman 2 GC offer to work. Love the typo (wiht) on the description for the second gift card.

Looks like what is going on is that they are currently offering a separate $5 GC for movie pre-orders that stacks with the normal $5 GC offer for some titles.

Re: Target deals

Okay, I ordered both the UHD and the 3D BvS. At $19.99 each, I can put the 3D disc into the UHD package, and sell the duplicate theatrical blu-ray and digital code and create the bundle that I really wanted.

Re: Target deals

I'm not sure why I'm ordering this as it was completely underwhelming, but I guess ... $20 for 3D and the extended cut ... ok.

I do hear that it's a bit better, and makes more sense on the second viewing.

At least with the extended cut I'll get to see the all-time leading rusher for my Green Bay Packers, Ahman Green, appear as Thug Number 2.

Re: Target deals

Looks like Jungle Book and BVS are the only two with two cards currently.

I feel the exact same way though I wish the extended cut was in 3D as well since the 3D version is what I would typically watch.

And I was all set to buy the Jungle Book but didn't see a 3D release of it. I figured they release a 3D BD since it was shown in 3D at the theaters. For 15 bucks I still may pick it up though. Disney releases don't usually drop in price very often.

Apart from Zootopia (which was a break from the trend) and Marvel/Pixar releases, Disney hasn't been releasing anything on home 3D for some time.

Looks like we'll have turn to the U.K. -- yet again -- for a 3D fix. Preorders are up on Amazon U.K. for 3D editions of Jungle Book and Alice 2 (for those so inclined). Don't know if these will be region-free, but I suppose it's likely considering Disney's track record there, and I'm sure in time they'll be part of the usual 2/£25-type deals.

Incidentally, Target does offer one $5 gift card on the 3D version of the new Ninja Turtles movie.

Re: Target deals

Eh, I liked Alice Part 2, I'll probably get that in 3D as well as Jungle Book. Yeah, as ling as Disney remains region free on their UK releases, I don't mind going that way to continue my 3D fix.

D'oh. I didn't even think about that. Guess I will cancel my pre-order I put with Target. Thanks for mentioning it. And I am region free so it doesn't matter to me.

I don't typically buy Disney movies so I guess I just didn't notice they weren't doing 3D for recent BD releases.

Which were both before Frozen, hence why they are not listed above.

Re: Target deals

I had no idea Need for Speed was released anywhere in 3D. I've never imported a movie before, but interest may get the best of me here.

Re: Target deals

For anyone interested in picking up The Divergent Series: Allegiant, Target has a Cartwheel deal for 15% off this week.

The 3-disc Deluxe Edition is only $17.99, so with the discount, it's only $15.29.

The bonus disc is a DVD with 30 minutes of extras.

I went ahead and picked it up and used my Red Card and get the extra 5% off as well.

It's an okay movie, but if you're a completist of this series, this is probably the best new release price you'll get for it.

These deluxe editions usually don't last in stock until November and Black Friday, so use your own judgment if you feel comfortable getting it now or not.

Walking Dead Season 6 Target exclusive dropped to $44.99 with $10 giftcard.

The Walking Dead Season 6 Target Exclusive

And, as hdnmickey predicted, it is just a steelbook.

Re: Target deals

Walking Dead dropped again, now it's $39.99 and includes a $10 gift card

They also updated the list with the $5 gift cards and included Angry Birds, The Secret Life of Pets, and the exclusive versions of Civil War.

Thanks for the update. Looks like I'll cancel and reorder Walking Dead again, since I don't trust them to adjust the price. I'm on the fence about TSLOP because I really want to ditch my redcard after they closed the store nearest to me. Also because nearly every one of my target.com orders is screwed up and I spend more time dealing with them than it's worth just for $5. So TWD is going to be my last order.

I still have not received my $5 gift card for Zootopia, arriving July 1-20. I guess I'll be chatting with them again this morning.

Re: Target deals

I have to say I had the complete opposite issue with Target and their CS chat. I wanted the exclusive Episode & BD that was revealed after the $5 GC preorder offer. They applied the $5 off right to the preorder, no muss, no fuss.

I just got mine in the mail a week or two ago, so you should be seeing it soon. The nice part is, you don't get charged for it until it ships. So they are doing you a favor delaying it
