^Yes, all three of the new Disney releases were $29.95 as pre-orders (Mulan, Hunchback, Brother Bear). I think that the higher than usual price—pre-orders are usually $24.95—may be because they are two movie sets or because they are obscure catalog titles, not new releases. I'm not sure how long the free shipping promotion will last; if it goes away the average cost per BD of a Disney Movie Club membership will go up slightly.

If you wait six months or so, it is possible that those three titles will be available for enrollment and the commitments could be used for some other new Disney releases.

The complaint that Amazon (and other stores) don't usually have very good prices for new release Disney titles certainly is valid! Especially with the dearth of coupons of late.

The two pack selection of the month is a very bad deal if you're trying to keep your cost per title low.

It's also possible to get them as enrollments now if you place your order by phone and you talk to the right rep.

It will probably go away when the next title of the month comes out. Currentlty monthly promo includes free shipping when you buy 2 or more titles. It's possible next month will also have a similar promo though, as this is very common. Also, if you want to order 2 commitments at once and and take advantage of the free shipping, you have to call to place your order, because otherwise the second title will be discouted 40% and won't count as a commitment.

It's not just you, this whole BD Bargains forum has been pretty sparse of late. I'm saving money which is good, but it's not so much fun.

As a heads-up for anyone thinking about biting on this (and I got to the order confirmation screen before I remembered!), there's also a triple feature with these two movies and whatever the Busta Rhymes one was called. Yeah, that last one's unwatchable, but for around $2 more, you can have a fuller set. Not sure if there are any video/audio compromises that come with that, though.

That explains why I've made so much progress on my unwatched pile in the last 2 months. :)

First four seasons for $10 each on those BF sales in years past. They're still unwatched!!! I'll wait for a similar drop on season five.

Ended up at 34% sold, for those of you scoring at home.

I'm not surprised about the 34%. Too little discount, too late.
