I don't know how often camelcamelcamel samples Amazon's prices for each product, but I know that it rarely (if ever) catches lightning deals or brief intraday price fluctuations so the sample period must be at least a few hours apart. So it only records prices that last many hours (or a day). In effect it does not tell you the lowest price EVER... just the lowest price it saw at its sampling interval.
But on the other hand, lightning deals don't feature pre-orders, so this is still most likely the lowest price yet at the site. |
