That's it for Black Friday but tomorrow is Cyber Monday. There will be deals throughout the month. Probably not as many as Black Friday but they will be there. Keep checking here and if you find something not here please post it.

Contact Amazon's customer service and they should be willing to credit back the difference since it is within a week.

Shouldn't be a problem. Depends slightly on phrasing, the responder and everyone's being polite, obviously. And you could even point out that you'd be saving them the hassle of taking the $22 set back as a return and mailing you the $15 one, which you'd naturally be willing to order unless they thoughtfully just credit the difference and save the postage...

Wish they would announce some of their Cyber Monday deals already so I don't have to go crazy at work lol. There's still a few movies I'm hoping would be on sale sooner or later.

Wow. This guy suggested he just do it when i told him that i was thinking about returning the previous order for the newer priced item. Nice. Very nice. Fuck, man. Saving $9.54 off of the $370 of BDs...is very nice. lol. Fuck.

Depends on what you want. Blackthorn just appeared. Reasonable reception on Rotten Tomatoes... @ $4 I'll give it a look.

I caught Blackthorn a while back on cable, I'll definitely pick it up for $4.

I wouldn't have any high expectations for Cyber Monday. Amazon has never put that much effort into it.

Has anyone? I always thought it was a dud.

2 or 3 years ago Amazon put some nice effort into it. I remember getting some nice deals.

Cyber Monday last year I remember not being much to get excited about, the first few years they were doing it, there were some deals that were better than BF. I'm not expecting much, so if something good appears, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Same here, I always thought most online retailers never had any awesome deals for Cyber Monday, at least from my perspective. It always seemed like marketing more then anything.

The last couple of years I spent a FORTUNE on Amazon discs, all during Thanksgiving week and Cyber Monday. This year, I got so frustrated with the gone-in-one-second Lightning Deals that I just gave up and went to Best Buy--and was pleasantly surprised by how easy everything was to find, and how well-stocked they were (and at LD prices--or better--to boot). I also usually bought a bunch of the year's big albums via the $2-$6 Black Friday week sales in their digital music store, which were also basically absent this year.

So yeah, can't speak for anyone else, but for me, Amazon basically shit the bed this year.

Amazon has been increasingly reactive to BF sales. Seems like this year they've used it for clearing out a lot of stock that's just been sitting, and not just movies.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Last year was a major letdown compared to priors years; I only bought 7 things totaling $56. But this year I went through the Best Buy and Target sales rosters and made a list of 17 things I wanted and I was able to get 15* of them from Amazon including every single LD plus another 6 items for a total of 21 purchases for $148 so it was easily three times as good a year for me. Add in the credits for no rush shipping (which they still blasted them out 2-day style) and the deals were even better. Mileage varies.

* They never dropped The King of Comedy or Independence Day to $4. Boo hoo. #FirstWorldProblems

ZERO Blu-ray buys from Amazon this year. I've spent at least $100 or more the past four or five years...and unlike previous years, I haven't bought a lot of Blu-rays during the year, so there should have been plenty for me to add to my collection - there were no titles/prices at all that appealed to me.

I'll be interested to see if in a month or so, Amazon reports their Black Friday sales were down this year...I know I'm not the only one who thought their sales were pretty lame (nothing on the videogame or book front either that caught my eye).

Music offerings were awful too.

Oh! My camel price alert email came through. Shaun of the Dead / Hot Fuzz / World's End Blu-ray Triple Pack for $14.99. I picked this up for $17.99 in June and had forgot about my camel price alert. It comes with Ultraviolet copies of each film and it's well worth it for the price!

I purposely held off on a lot for BF this year. So this BF was worth it for me. Cyber Monday has not appealed to me in like 2-3 years.

Thanks for that. A super stocking-stuffer for my 39-year-old police officer son (actually a sergeant in the Sheriff's Department, but that is TMI), and another for me...Zombies and fuzz, plus the end of the world. What's not to like?

When Best Buy finally gets out of the business of selling media, Amazon will start charging full price for everything. Amazon decided losing money on Black Friday media items was not a winning business plan, resulting in their worst BF sales this century.

Anyone notice how Amazon's business is resembling Apple's business more and more each year?

holy shit. You're right. The moment a competitor like BB stops w/ media... Amazon will set the standard. fuck fuckity fuck fuck.
