Picked up Source Code today. It was labeled $10.99 but rang up at $24.99. They changed the price to $10.99, but then the Trade-and-Save coupon would not apply. Customer Service rep had me complete the purchase without the coupon, then pricematched it down to $5.99 as a second transaction. |

I was turned down on the Airplane Best Buy special edition as it didn't ring up on sale like the 1000th anniversary edition with the shitty slip cover. I asked the guy why one was on sale and the other was not and he told me that they had different special features. Bullshit! The only feature distinctive between the two is the lenticular cover vs the shitty looking, in my opinion, red cover they have recently put on their releases.

Picked up the special edition with the slipcover with no problem at all.

Hasn't been mentioned but there is a $5 off coupon for The Descendants on coupons.com. If you combine it with the $5 upgrade and save coupon the total comes out to $10.
Also, there is also a When Harry Met Sally $3 off coupon on coupons.com as well. |

Got MIB II today. Comes with $10 movie cash to see MIB III, so for 10 bucks, why not?

I traded in 3 screeners today, the girl didn't care. I got these for $5:
Grand Prix Rubber (Checked a bit out on Netflix, saw Fat Neil from Community in it, so I figured what the hell) Trading Places I also picked up Nazis at the Center of the Earth. But when I got home I checked Amazon, trade-in was $11.25 new, $0.10 in good condition. So I just just traded it in instead, I'll see it on Netflix. |

To anyone in Nashville TN area, the CS at the Bellevue (Nashville West) store was super helpful this last weekend. They sent out $10 gift cards due to the Rivergate store closing and I had the GC email on my phone. I had incorrectly assumed I could just show the email and get the discount. They informed me that I was supposed to print out a copy and bring it in. Before I could even reply a manager had asked me to follow him behind the counter to let me log into my email to print the coupon. They also had no problem stacking the GC with the trade in and save coupons. (Not that they should have, but I generally expect literally nothing to work out in the customers favor in a retail setting.)
This particular store also did the certificates differently than the other two I've been to in the course of this sale. Instead of giving one "discount flyer" and then just marking them off of the receipt they gave me one flyer for each trade in and marked nothing on the receipt. So, apparently, at this point I still have 5 discounts from this transaction where I had traded in 5 disks and purchased 3 more. |

Wrong. Although your logic was amusing. I had to go to 3 different stores before I found the flipper. The first 2 stores only had the Blu-ray only version (which was much more expensive).
I'm glad you took that much time out of your day to prove me wrong. Hope the cost in gas was worth it. |

Picked up these 3 today, all for $5 each
Spartacus A Nightmare on Elm St (original) Cool Hand Luke Also was asked for the .99 "protection plan" for the first time. I just gave the clerk a "WTF" look, he seemed to agree and the transaction continued. |
Re: Best Buy Upgrade & Save, $5 Off Blu-ray titles, Apr 22 - May 12, 2012
Stay away from the Bellevue, WA store - I was denied using the coupons I had already received (at the Lynnwood location) because I had to use all four that my receipt showed, and at the time of trade-in. Their was no reasoning with these ladies either... I'm considering emailing a complaint.
So, went to Lynnwood and was actually treated nicely... got Haywire and Robin Hood:POT for $20. The cashier didn't seem surprised by my trouble at Bellevue, guess it's a just a poorly managed store. (unfortunately it's not being closed) |
Re: Best Buy Upgrade & Save, $5 Off Blu-ray titles, Apr 22 - May 12, 2012
Went to two locations on Sunday to grab 5 movies and had very different results from the employees.
1st location took my name and address for their computers, printed receipts and used a coupon, then sold me my Blu's right there. 2nd location was awesome! Guy threw my dvd in a trash bin, rang up my Blu, scanned $5 off coupon, the end. Took like 10 seconds. |

I traded in Daredevil Director's Cut for Mission Impossible BB Exclusive. I dropped the case, so one of the two hinges is broken, but whatever.

Re: Best Buy Upgrade & Save, $5 Off Blu-ray titles, Apr 22 - May 12, 2012
Well, I may be SOL on the remaining 4 vouchers I have. The receipt I had got soda spilled on it, and I didn't think much of it so I threw it in the trash. I'm reading the fine print at the bottom that says you need a receipt to use them. That blows.
