It went up 4 pounds. Still not terrible.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-li...6703945&sr=8-1

The previous link was to a copy on the US site...

WTF is wrong with my browser? These links seem as if they would go to the UK site yet I wind up at Amazon.ca

re: International Blu-ray deals

I'm getting sent to the US site when I click the link. No matter since it seemed to have already went up in price. But the redirect thing is weird.

Well, I was sent to Amazon.ca but I am in the US... no matter, the CTR thing works. Thank you.

Many AmazonUK links are perfect, but when clicked I get directed to amazonUS. Using things like Noscript and a other add-on things can help, but the easiest is to HOLD down the CTR key and click the link. That usually sends you to the link instead of redirecting you to you local Amazon

Oh wow. I didn't even notice it was doing that. Thanks.

What if I don't have a control key?

How many people still use computers to access this forum? Aren't we in a mostly tablet/mobile world now?

Me. Almost exclusively. One of the biggest reasons is the scams I often ran into when I browsed the site on my phone. But also because I can't stand trying to navigate it all and respond on my phone.

^What he said.

PC >>>>>> mobile for any internet activity.

Regarding the redirects, I believe uBlock Origin can be configured to eliminate that bullshit. I never get redirected.

Count me as a Laptop user. I do use the mobile site on my phone but never as often as on a laptop which is about 90% of the time

I like a full size monitor and real keyboard. Even Laptops i find make things far less friendly -- a phone or tablet I find completely bonkers and for emergency only. It's one of the reasons I cringe everytime I read of a website upgrading to make it more usable. Over teh last several years I've generally found that to be completely backward. Every upgrade basically is to make 5 inch screen more usable -- 80% of the material is removed, instead of lists of 50-100 items on a single screen, there are now 2-3 and 10 clicks to accomplish what one did before.

I'm with Hariseldon 100%. I use a desktop at work and at home, and have a work issued Chromebook I use at home some for testing and to make sure our policy/settings get pushed correctly off-campus (and my grandkids use it for schoolwork). I *hate* the "keyboard" on the Chromebook - but it's pretty much the same "chicklet" type keyboard that almost everyone uses these days for laptops (and what apple uses for laptops and desktops). I have a Fire tablet but it's used solely to watch movies, are rarely at that. It took no time before I decided it's a terrible device for browsing. Even Amazon's dedicated store app for the thing is a horrible piece of junk! I never use a phone for internet. Phones are to make/receive calls - that's it.

re: International Blu-ray deals

There is actually a huge deal going on right now at Amazon Germany. It's 3 items for the price of 2 across a huge selection of BDs, DVDs, LP sets and CDs.

https://www.amazon.de/b/ref=amb_link...d_i=B01J20B7IW

The reason why this deal is great is that many expensive items that rarely get discounted are included. If you are hunting big game in music box sets, there are some steals. Remember to put the site in English at the bottom for easier reading.

I want my LG Flip Phone back (It now gets crappy reception due to T-Mobile's choices) I have an Android DUMB phone, & other than the weather app, I'm not real fond of it.

I should have specified tablet. Yeah, phones are for calls and texting and a few other things, not great for reading websites. But I've barely touched a laptop or desktop outside of work since the iPad was invented, don't miss them at all. Maybe I'm in the minority, but could have sworn stats I've seen made it seem otherwise.

I had an iPad for work... to use when not at my desk. I hated it. Could not get any real work done. As soon as I was given a laptop option I jumped on it.

The lack of keyboard, and having to use what translates as the same "mobile" version of the forum, will always make the PC my first choice. I might try the Chrome book eventually if I could pry it away from my wife and daughter.

Mobile site blows, I never use it.

Lots of millennials are so into their phone for everything, they don't even own a pc. That was the thing with the god awful Windows 8, it was aimed at young tablet users

I use PC most of the time. It's quicker and I can't type worth a crap on a phone.

Heh, if Tim Schafer doesn't make fun of smartphones in Psychonauts 2, I will be deeply disappointed.

I surf on tablet, but posting polls, typing long-ish responses, partially deleting quotes, etc. are all easier on laptop.

Off-topic ;), but I hope everyone got in on the Universal Monsters deal who wanted it. I got it or a similar set from UK, and it's great. I will dig into it again this month.

I bought this set at 10.99 pounds and it was very worth it. Nice steelbook and this sucker is region free as I've tested the UK version myself.

Amazon Canada (.ca)

https://www.amazon.ca/Batman-The-Dar.../dp/B00DTVHIIY

The Complete Edition and extremely cheap at $8 CDN, the shipping to US puts it at about $15 American but great if you have other things you want to buy.

The Graphic Novel version has been on and off of sale at Best Buy for $10 just about every other week now. The Graphic Novel is just a bonus, but the discs have the exact same content.

Target also carries it in store and should be eligible for the 20% off Cartwheel this week.
