Plenty of Eureka titles straight from the mfr (seller's name is 'Bestmediagroup') on Amazon.uk - with great prices. Go to Bluray.com, select UK site, click on Lowest Prices and filter on 'Eureka Entertainment'. S/H seems a bit steep but averages out better the more the # of titles you buy. 90% of the offerings are Region B.

I can't find the "UK Site" link on Bluray.com

I'm probably blind! help?

I figured it out. Had to click on a UK flag.

Totally depends on your cc co. My Visa exchange rate is inconsistent. In the last 2 months they have been both slightly cheaper then Amazon & also on another order several % higher then both Amazon & the exchange rate. I don't no how to find out in advance, unless your cc vendor is consistent (mine obviously isn't).

I may be making a very large purchase from a different UK site in the near future; choices will be Pay Pal & Visa debit. Similar dilemma: who will offer the best rate............

I just let Amazon convert it. I have double and triple checked on prior orders and it usually comes out the same or a little cheaper for me because my Amazon Visa that I use charges me a 3% "international" fee on top of whatever mystery conversion amount they used at the time of purchase.

Please if something isn't in stock and they don't charge me until it ships, I don't want to risk the conversion rate to go up in that time (which is usually my luck).

At least when I let Amazon convert it, I know exactly what I am paying.

Just got my shipping confirmations for the Clint Eastwood set and BSG set. Yay, they shipped them both out via Asendia. I should have them in aprox. 2 weeks. :sarcasm:

Oh well. I've got some catching up to do with other flicks.

Nice deals if you need those sets. I only like that first season of SHIELD, but knowing how bad it gets dampens my enthusiasm to buy it.

Thank you for always alerting us to these deals, hariseldon.

If anyone sees the UK only boxes of L.A. Law Seasons 7 & 8 come way down, I really want those.

I was just looking at that Tudors set yesterday. Wasn't sure I would really watch it, though, as I've only seen a handful of episodes and it's been available on streaming.

Keep in mind that the Marvel sets may not be continued on Blue. THe powers that be have already said that Season 2 of Carter and the latest season of Agents of SHIELD won't be seeing a release in the US.

The international divisions are usually given autonomy from the media-hating American home video department. I think it's likely they continue to get released in Europe.

That Clint Eastwood and BSG Complete Series sets arrived. The boxes were trashed but the ties were mint. I really hate Asendia shipping now.

I ordered the same two, and got the same thing: Boxes smashed to shit but items were fine. It looks like at some point someone added some external tape just to hold things together, heavy packing tape on one and scotch tape on the other.

Weird. I ordered it as well, received it over the weekend, and it was packed in a box, with paper. Box was somewhat smashed all around but surprisingly, no dents to Clint's box.

Great deal, btw.

Just FYI, the exchange rate today is $1.297 USD / 1 GBP, which is once again near the 30-year low of $1.289.

That's a great price on ST:TNG! I got mine for ~$66 US (shipped) which I thought was super, and still do. I'm not a huge fan of that one but the BR remastering leaves the DVDs in the dust quality wise.

i was just looking at the hitchcock set and somehow accidentally ordered it! wanted to add other stuff before I did that. hah! quite a deal. 14 movies for $26 and some collectable stuff, so no regrets. Not sure what I did - first time this has happened...

a sobriety test is warranted perhaps ?

I'm showing 29 pounds + shipping as the lowest price on the Hitchcock?
