Unfortunately much of Amazon's stuff is either "fulfilled by" or shipped from some Island (I don't remember the name) & VAT is not removed in either case (or by 3rd party sellers).

Not exactly a box set but the Star Trek: The Original Series - The Roddenberry Vault [Blu-ray] is £28.07 after removing the VAT and adding shipping to USA.

For anyone who can do so easily, would you post you bank's current pound -> dollar exchange rate? I have two Chase credit cards, and their rate is still at 1.295. I'm used to it being higher, but typically not this much higher. Transaction fees aside, is CapitalOne really that much better?

Amazon orders give me an option of the "Amazon rate", but I find myself ordering from many different UK merchants.

My Visa debit is 100% unpredictable which is really frustrating. They do not follow the Visa posted rates.

Got my copy of Twin Peaks, with a couple corners a little bashed but otherwise fine.

Herzog bfi box, £35.99. Not region free. After vat removal and adding shipping to usa, it came to £33.07, so around $43 us. Lowest its ever been according to cameluk. Click on the one sold by amazon, not the others. This set differs slightly from shout box, but has better pq.

From Slickdeals, Amazon U.K. Has The Hobbit trilogy, region free, extended versions and in 3D, for converted $US34.45 at current rates. A very good deal that I couldn't resist even though I've practically stopped my foreign purchases due to digital copy restrictions.

solid - $34.22 shipped. Already had the 3rd one in 3D but not the first 2. Should be able to sell off the first 2 EE's to recuperate some costs (they were Hastings purchases and so have some nostalgic value now) UV is a welcome bonus as well. Thanks, DVDGamer

Holy crap...I've been looking for that set under $50, nevermind under $35. Ordered.

BTW, DVDGamer...you can redeem most foreign codes through a proxy if you know what you are doing. *knock on wood*, I've gotten all my UK and Canadian codes to redeem. The only one I couldn't get to redeem was my German steelbook of Seventh Son.

I might go ahead and sell out the digital codes for this one once I get it...I already have it on digital the theatrical versions (dirt cheap codes), and really don't need the extended versions on digital since those would be a special occasion type of deal.

Is there a list of what titles are included in the £10 off £50?

Yeah, no kidding. I was adding titles in my wishlist from there, and well over the £50 threshold and didn't give the credit.

Great deal on The Hobbit. Might just order it, regardless.

Dammit. I wasn't even looking at the Hobbit but I do love the LOTR trilogy, so I bit. Also ordered Seasons 3 and 4 of Game of Thrones to get the £10 off £50 deal. So all three for $62 shipped. Thanks!

Man, thought I got a decent deal when that was £37 last year, but at £23 after VAT I picked up three of them and triggered the £10 discount, which works out to $36.21CDN each. Resale values up here are quite generous compared to even the U.S. site, which will help offset the some of the more expensive aspects of my personal collection-building. :)

I've been meaning to get the extended Hobbit trilogy since I currently have a combination of digital extended and BD theatrical, so I pulled the trigger on this and got the 10/50 deal as well.

I bought all 3 regular length Hobbits on BF last year; I can't currently justify spending $ to get the extended versions, though I'm sure they'd be enjoyable.

For those that are looking at ordering some of the titles in this promotion there was a price drop on at least a couple of these. Don't know if it will help those that have already placed orders unless they were well above the £50 range to ask for any adjustments.

Police Academy 1-7 - The Complete Collection now £11.90(was £14.97)
Game of Thrones Season 1 and Season 2 steelbooks now £15.99 each(was £19.99 each)

Not sure if any others dropped or not. I can't find anything beyond Police Academy that I don't already own or even interested enough in to put in an order for this promotion. Don't care to double dip on the GoT sets just for the Dolby ATMOS, although had the other seasons been included in this deal it would be tempting.
