He disappears from Twitter for 5 days but shows up to do the weekly follow friends Friday thing. He answers one tweet... probably the only one that wasn't calling him a name or demanding their money back.

Ultimately, unfortunately, one has to blame the inactivity and naivete of his customers - if everyone who either received nothing or an incomplete order (which is roughly 99% of his total customers) disputed the charges with their credit card companies, which would take only a five minute phone call, he would be in dept and out of business for the foreseeable future.
I can't help but think that at least part of the reason my order got (mostly) filled was because I started tweeting him the same tweet once a day for a few days, simply asking for a status update. He probably wanted me to finally shut up.

I still don't understand why you guys are treating this guy like a legitimate merchant instead of a criminal. Why nobody has notified the feds about this clown committing mail fraud mystifies me.

So if no one comes to the door it will be the address I use when I go fill out the report at the local police department.
(going to suck blowing half a day of my vacation but it will be worth it)

The person's actual address has been posted elsewhere online. I removed it in this post as it may be violating forum rules.

Back in late Jan/early Feb, he made the claim on twitter that all orders would be out by HorrorHound weekend. That's coming up in 11 days. If anyone needs more proof for their CC company to do a chargeback, you can let that date come and go and have more ammo that things aren't going out(assuming you're using a shitty CC company that doesn't think you've proved your case. Why are you even still using them at this point?)

I had money sitting in my Paypal account from an eBay sale.

A site set up by Film Rant to air your HME grievances:

FYI, it's a UK site.

Perhaps I should record my visit for them? (Although addin too much confrontation to the situation might get me arrested on my vacation, audio only maybe?)

I couldn't imagine anything other than either him not being home or he says something about how he can't talk and then he closes the door.

I'd also be surprised if this was the first visit he would get or wouldn't open his door for strangers and telling him mom the same. If he did buy that house he was talking about, he'd probably want to live there instead of still living with mom.

Send your UNFULFILLED INVOICES (i.e. receipts for the stuff you never got) to [email protected]! And when you send me your invoice(s), make sure that you highlight TWO of the discs that you wanted the most. Then cross your fingers because I will choose one lucky person each month (at random) and mail them a brand new, factory sealed, Blue Underground Blu-ray disc (or two, depending on their price and my available funds). Don't worry about shipping or anything else; I'm footing the bill for this.

Answering my own question - Charlotte, NC:
http://www.themadmonsterparty.com/index.html

I've never been to one of these conventions - how much to the guests typically charge for autographs? I'm tempted to make the 2-hour drive to score some additional sig's on my Fright Night blu ray (I was to nap one of the Tom Holland autographed copies).

[And I'd definitely make the trip if HME was confirmed as a vendor!]

Was it not said there was a picture of this guy floating around? Can someone post it so that everyone know who to look out for at conventions?

Depends on the person but it averages about $20 per autograph. Some people will sign everything you bring them for $20 some people will include a "free" autograph if you buy a poster/still from them.

^There used to be another picture on his Twitter account where he had a beard. Not surprisingly, it's no longer there.
