You deserve to get what you ordered, but the reality is that you most likely will not get anything. It's in your best interest to see how long your method of payment will protect you though. It would be foolish to continue expecting to get an order past your chargeback deadline.

Every couple I check the blu-ray.com thread since it seems to be more active. One guy just posted that he ordered over 25 discs and has not received anything. He asked for a refund and was told 2 weeks ago that he would get it immediately. Of course he has not received a refund.

Someone said it's been 5 weeks since he's shipped anything. 5 weeks!

When this debacle first started, I really thought he got caught short and wasn't expecting as big a response as he got. But as people have been going without movies and without refunds, it's hard to believe this guy is going to do ANYTHING but keep stringing people along until the Paypal limit expires or some just give up.

Woh. Demetrios aka "The Emperor" hasn't shipped anything for over a month. At this point, it appears, the gig is up. Even he did have the product, his performance has been so atrocious and out of line up until now, I don't know why anyone would want to reward him with their continued business, all in the name of some cheaply-priced Blu-ray and DVD product.

Yes, which he says came from Amazon, meaning it did not come from the Emperor's own stock, a "business model," which is very clearly not sustainable. When was the last time someone received a Blue Underground sale item direct from Horror Movie Empire, NOT via Amazon? I wonder. The Emperor does not have stock to fulfill all of the orders. Why he took to sending a token few customers "gifts" from Amazon is anyone's guess. But, again, sending a Blu-ray from Amazon, at a considerable loss, should not really count as shipping product, since we know he is not going to do that for every customer.

^ You know, I can't even recall hearing anyone here or at Blu-ray.com confirm receiving anything after around the time I received my stuff from Amazon.

I think more people would be happy if instead of trying to fill one person's order from amazon, he split it to do one item from different people's orders. At least then there's be more people that said they got something.

I'm glad I wasn't greedy and do a huge order to try and sell on amazon like some people were doing. I just ordered a few that I wanted, that's all.

Out of curiosity, how would you guys go about prosecuting this clown for fraud? Clearly he has taken money by deception, so he needs to go to jail.

You have to report it to the attorney general and/or the cops. They're the ones that decide if they'll prosecute for fraud.

It's amazing, according to the poll over at blu-ray.com, that only 6% (12 people) have received their full order. And 71% (134 people) have not received ANYTHING. That's crazy.

this is more commonly known as a great scam. I think he knew he could not provide the controls, and takes just a consumer for a fool. Now, he takes out the violins for us to tears. no single explanation for good mail or message on the site to clarify the situation. it's just shameful. this shop deserves to close for good!! which causes damage to other independent shops!!

Over/under on how many turds are in the flaming bag left on his doorstep since that is about what this company and this Demetrios guy is worth

Yes, I'm keeping up with the Blu-ray.com thread as well. Of course, a Synapse disc is not a Blue Underground disc, which is the main topic of discussion here.

What is most telling and salient is this quote from the originator of the poll on the other forum:

He shipped some sporadic orders for the first few weeks, most from Amazon sale items then stopped and has not shipped any BU orders for over a month. 6 weeks ago 5% of the people responding to the poll had received their complete order and the current results are almost identical.

I know, I'm just surprised anything at all is still going out. At least it shows he's alive.

Thankfully, I got my money back (not directly from him, of course) and long ago stopped caring about getting any discs from this fool, so whether he ships out occasional product is inconsequential to me. As long as he's alive, I'm interested in seeing him get shut down and, hopefully, investigated and prosecuted for fraud. That would be most satisfying.

Someone over at the other forum said they just got a shipping confirmation for a BU title. There we go. The slow leak of orders just had another drip.

All praise the Emperor! Hallelujah!

That's a smaller than miniscule "drip," considering that nearly 71% (136 people) of all customers in the BU sale, who have participated in the Blu-ray.com poll, have received absolutely nothing.

Yeah, that's what I set in motion. It was just even more frustrating to get that e-mail and then have to respond to him again and wait.
