I'll cop to it being a guilty pleasure of mine. It's bad, I fully admit that, but it's a fun 3D title.

FYI, you can sign up for Amazon Mom again, for a free 3-month trial (only if your account has never had free Prime). However, it doesn't appear they will extend it on a month by month basis anymore...

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it was just $5.99 the week before last at Best Buy:
http://forum.dvdtalk.com/blu-ray-bar...uy-7-99-a.html
I know the thread title says 7.99, but inside the thread it was confirmed to be 5.99. Still, 7.99 is a decent price.

Thanks. Missed that one. But it probably wouldn't have mattered, as Best Buy isn't on my normal pathways. Figuring tax and gas and time I doubt I'd go out of my way for it.

I always wonder what to do when the price drops on something I want like this. Sometimes it drops further shortly thereafter, sometimes goes back up and doesn't drop again for months. Hard to know.

I expect My Bloody Valentine 3D would be better in 3D... if only I had the actual 3D version and not the anaglyph 3D one. I read lots of bad reviews of Drive Angry regarding the movie, but lots of raves for the 3D. I'd buy Drive Angry 3D as a blind buy if I found it cheap enough.

FINALLY got game of thrones in my goldbox. Ordered. I know it's only 10 eps, but I'm counting on a crapload of bonus features to make it worth my while...

fwiw... I got the episode one bonus disc with Boardwalk Empire at Best Buy. And... I was hooked less than a minute in.

Amadeus digi @ $7.99 is back in stock, last I checked.

I consider the movie virtually unwatchable in 2D, but it is a lot of fun in 3D. Of the 3D titles I've seen, it has some of the best 3D effects. When I get bored with the movie, I'll find myself looking around at the image to admire the depth of the picture.

I enjoyed Drive Angry for what it was. I read a lot of people raving about the 3D effects, but I'd definitely rank Avatar, My Bloody Valentine and Final Destination 5 over it just in terms of the 3D. Keep your eye out. I bought Drive Angry at Amazon a while back for like $13.99.

10 episodes of GOT is worth more than 100 episodes of today's current crap.

I was able to sell them back my unopen (dvd) one for $22.50 and buy this. Not bad.

I had a very hard time watching Drive Angry 3D. Not sure how to put it. When things came at you, it took time to come into forces. I did not have that problem with any other movie. Like you I did buy it back when it was $13 so no problems here.

Seriously?! A $4 price drop the day after release date for Johnny English Reborn? Why the F did I preorder this movie?! That is really annoying.

Not surprising. They are matching Best Buy. Seems to be more of the norm with Amazon and new releases these days.

Not to be completely ignorant, but shy of forgetting that something is getting released, is there any advantage to pre-ordering on Amazon?

The only advantage I can think of is that once in awhile a title drops to an insanely low price usually by accident for a few minutes or so.

The preorder guarantee locks in those super low prices.

Yeah, my wife loves Rowan/Bean. But the timing looks intentional, to drop the price hours (minutes?) after the preorder price guarantee period passes. Stuff like this will cost them, as I will redirect some of my business away to account for it. I've just cancelled a couple bluray preorders. I am going to pick up a costly Nikon lens soon, and there are plenty of camera shops selling the lens at the same price, so Amazon will not get that order. It's only $4, but still...

I had that with Puss in Boots. Pre-Ordered with $5 coupon at 24.99. It shipped then it dropped to 19.99 where I thought it would. Oh well
