As always, you can find useful links for checking low prices at Amazon in the first post of this thread. And please continue to post your "finds" here for others.

According to Camelcamelcamel 22.99 is the lowest it's ever been on Amazon. It's been lower during the 50% sale at B&N though, about $20

I didn't think this one would drop so fast so I bought it out of the gate. Oh well.

Well, this is the new trend in buying single recent movie releases which are destined for a "complete" or "definitive" collection release. That's why I don't even touch releases like this. Well, ok, I touch them, but I certainly don't buy them.

I'm well aware of that, but I thought this might be the exception as Warner intends to do a Disney trick and "Vault" the Potter movies for a time... or so it has been reported. I thought retailers would milk this for all the profit they could before it went into the vault on 29 Dec.

There was also that great "week after" trend of 12.99 releases that made me bite on The A Team, The Expendables, and True Grit. I think Potter 7.1 was a week-after cheapie as well. That trend died off for a while, saving me a lot of money, till Black Friday got me.

I got Potter 7.2 for 19.99 and haven't yet opened it. Oh well. I have all the other singles and planned to get this. No huge desire to get the superdeluxe set unless it gets a big price drop.

Amazon Warehouse Deals (in the marketplace) has put up a bunch of used HP 7.2 three disc for $13.19. Some of them have damage, but I noticed a few that were just opened. And with the free 2-day shipping (for prime and student prime), and my Amazon credit, that's a deal I jumped on.

Thanks for this. What does this mean though? "Item may come repackaged. Missing shrink-wrap."

Is it just not original shrink wrap or is it a different case?

I read it as some of the blu-ray cases got damaged and they replaced them with identical blu-ray cases. I could be wrong. All I know is when I've ordered these kind of items before they look great.

I have come to the point now. Unless I am going to open and watch it the day or two after I buy it. I will just hold off. To many discs I have gotten have not been open, only to see them go down. I'm not talking about $1 or $2.

The HP we got in 3D and watched it 4 times so far so its best to say the money spent was worth it.

Yeah, I'm really resistant to the release-day buy, and that paid off when Black Friday deals kicked in. I did want Potter because (1) I wanted to be sure to get the combo because I actually use all three discs (I think I now have digital versions of seven of the eight movies) and (2) I figured we'd want to watch it right away, which was a bad guess, perhaps because we saw it twice in theaters.

I think mine is probably $39.99, and I'm hoping it never gets there because I really don't want to buy it.

No problem. I know it isn't the great setup Lizard has with the backlog links and individual links for each title but hopefully I'm helping get us passed the dark ages until Lizards return lol.
