Nice! Thanks for the heads-up on that. Quite a few cheap blus there.

The Bond 50 set no longer lists the LE book. I wonder why not... Did they sell a certain number of pre-orders, and it is now sold out?

I think it is - you get scads of clips from dozens of films, both iconic and relatively obscure, many of which will never see a Blu-ray release, all in 1080p and with cornball yet enjoyable musings from both Donald Pleasance and Nancy Allen. I've watched it 4 or 5 times since getting the disc - it's great for group viewings.

The book that is/was included wasn't really an exclusive as it's available separately. It's called James Bond: 50 Years of Movie Posters and it's currently 27.17 at both Amazon and B&N. I ordered the Bond set from Columbiahouse and bought the book a few days ago from B&N using a coupon and it arrived yesterday. It's a lovely, large, hardcover book in a slipcase.

Speaking of CH...you can get the set from them now for $147.96 shipped with Triple Bonus Points using code 20120921LLST1D ($10 off every $40, but it maxes out at $40 in savings). That's a couple of bucks cheaper than Amazon with enough points to get you another Blu-ray using the points.

I'm a huge horror fan - and I read several good comments about the doc. When I finally watched it last month, I have to admit to being rather underwhelmed - and baffled by the positive enthusiasm. Yes, the doc has clips from many classic films, but they're presented without context and insightful commentary. The movie theater crowd stuff was cheesy too. I'm holding on to the Universal disc and plan to also get the new one, but I can't recommend it like others have.

Hope you'll join the October horror challenge.

The Avengers 3D dropped down to $24.99. I already canceled my order (even with the $5 off coupon) since Target will have it for $19.99 w/ the bonus disc.

Thanks for the heads up. I sent off an email to Amazon and had them adjust the price of my preorder. Now my total is $19.99 including the $5 off coupon.

You don't need to email them, it will adjust automatically.

Unless they can match the bonus disc, Target still wins... 5% Red Card discount almost covers tax for me, so Target and Amazon are pennies apart. But even if it wasn't, I'd pay $2 for a bonus disc 99% of the time...

The book that is/was included is an excepted version of the big book. Still a nice bonus regardless, and an exclusive.
