Snapped up The Red Shoes, but it won't ship for 9-11 days. But, I'm lucky I got my order in. Ah well, I'm a patient man, been eyeballing it for a good price since it was released. I'm mulling the BBS set. How long you peeps think this sale is going to last? I'm guessing not long, since M just shot up to 33.00.

No, it didn't. M is still 17.99 from Amazon. You fell for the "we're out of stock so we will show you a Marketplace seller's price by default" trick. I fell for it once too. I really wish they wouldn't do that.

I've watched a couple of Ken Loach's movies in the last month, and expect to watch several more in the next month, so I ordered Kes and I'll probably watch it just about as soon as I get it. Still thinking about several other titles. I also ordered Splice, which I'm also eager to see, although not quite as eager.

I picked up a few more releases....This really helps me out come July (hopefully) Criterion sale. I'm pretty much caught up on the blu-rays I want...I'll only have to grab a 5-6 of the upcoming releases and 3-4 DVD boxsets I have been meaning to grab.

I bought a few Criterions yesterday and today I have 5 in my Gold Box Quick Picks.

I bought 4 on Monday and the only Criterion to appear in my Gold Box is the old, crappy version of Diabolique. Nice try, Amazon!

I bought one Crit y'day and another Blu (plus a book) and still have zero quick picks, much less Criterions. Jerks. I spend a lot of money with you Amazon, why are you making it harder to spend more?!?

Bought 3 from the Gold Box today: Kes, Yi Yi, and Au Revoir les enfants. All were BD and all were blind buys.

Well, as some of you noted, Amazon automatically refunded me the difference in price for Blow Out, so I took that $8...and sunk it right back into Amazon, picking up The Double Life of Veronique.

Two CC's in the Gold Box today after my order of yesterday: Paths of Glory for $17.09. Nice price, but I have it already. And The Great Dictator, which isn't on sale.

I finally caved in and bought Le Cercle Rouge and Au Revoir Les Enfants today. I ended up rewatching Au Revoir Les Enfants on Netflix last night and the last 45 minutes of the film were very powerful especially the end.

I have the BBS set in my quick picks, but I can't get myself to pull the trigger. You guys that aren't getting Criterions to show up should remove everything from your recommendations except dvds/bds.

Or buy a Criterion and see what's in your box tomorrow.

Did anyone else receive a damaged Blow Out case or am I just unlucky? The disc is fine, but the case has dents all over the back and ripped artwork. Looks like I'll be waiting a couple weeks now for a replacement.
