Man, I am having a bear of a time finding this thing. A family member wanted one and so far been to 4 targets with no luck. No signs, no empty slot, no employee knowledge of carrying the title, no nothing. You would almost think it hasn't been released in my area at all.

In my store it was on the endcap where they put the new releases and weekly deals. I also noticed on the card that it said "Temporary Price Drop" not "Sale Price" like most others and that this price drop would be valid until 4/2.

I saw the Temporary Price Drop card too but I didn't bother to look closely for the end date like you did. That's a pretty long "temporary" sale. Again, too bad Target didn't do the $14.99 price the first week to save me from buying and having to return my first one to Walmart.

I couldn't find it here either. I looked at the new BD section, the endcaps and mixed in with the other BD-DVDs. The store employee I asked couldn't find it on their system when he looked it up. He thought maybe it was an online-only thing.

You can punch this number in yourself at most stores on the scanners and see if they have some in back. Stores with the older scanners (that do not have buttons on them) won't tell you, though, so you'd need to ask someone for help.

What do you need to know that for, it's in the blu ray section.
Limited means likely there is only one left.

Yes, but as I said, the store employee couldn't find it in their system.

Next time I go, I'll give him the stock number that kenbenobi listed.

Thanks to kenbenobi's tip, my "limited availability" store found one in the back. They had pulled them all to send them back. But I got the last one. She had to manually enter the coupon, but for $10.80 out the door... not bad.

Glad that worked for you... I dont know why they would be sending these back, since it just came out. That's just dumb...

I agree with Marvin. Finding titles is easier said than done. My stores have two full aisles of BD's on both sides, separated by genre, and that classification isn't all that accurate. Not to mention at least 4 different endcaps as well with various "random" titles. I have difficulty finding titles all the time! The newer scanners DO tell you the aisle number, and it DOES help. I would rather Target's BD's be in alphabetical order, like Best Buy...

Not to mention those on display with the BD players (man, is BB guilty of this ...)

Me: "I can't find this bluray."

CSR: "The manufacturer asked that we discontinue them, pull them from the shelves, and send them back."

Me: "But it just came out."

CSR: "Well, that's what corporate said. Sorry. [speaks into walkie-talkie] This is -----, I'm going to lunch."

Then after he left, I gave the girl the number to look up.

I went to Target today and fortunately they still had several copies in stock on an end of aisle display for new releases.

DPCI number came in handy, thanks kenbenobi. I couldn't find any, asked an associate, gave her the DPCI number and she said they were all in the back.

Thanks for sharing that DPCI. Went back to a Target where the manager told me they didn't have it. Still not on shelves. Looked it up on the price scanner which showed it as in the stockroom. Went to the electronics clerk who looked it up by title and said it wasn't available. I told her to look it up with the DPCI, and she then said it was in back and picked it up for me. She said there was a note to return to the manufacturer but figured she would go ahead and let me have it. So, DPCI was the key - thanks!!

Really curious why some Targets are sending these back after one week.............

Almost sounds like it's been recalled but I haven't read any reports of that.

Before this gets all out of proportion, don't forget this is from one stock clerk at one Target store.

Actually two different people have said the same thing about it being returned to the manufacturer and others are reporting employees having a hard time locating it in the system. There definitely is something odd going on.

This was also in the back room of my Target. The guy was surprisingly nice when looking for it. He'd never heard of it, but went to the kiosk and saw where I had seen it was available online. He then looked at the stock number and he found it in the back. It was in a security case and on sale. $9.99 after coupon. Strange.

I was able to pick this up today. I put in the DPCI number and it said it was in stock in aisle F33. Since half of the shelves don't have placard with the aisle letter and number on it anyways, I just walked over to the main BD aisle and there it was, sitting between Hot Tub Time Machine and Due Date. Picked up 1 of the 2 copies, walked up to the front with my coupon, gave both to the cashier, paid and walked out. Easy, peasy, Japaneasy.
