hmm, ok now that you explained it, it is very funny.
"Is this as good as the remake, Avatar."
Adding the comma in there let's me see what he was going for.

It is funny, when I walked out of Avatar, I told my friend that it was pretty cool but should have been called Dances with Aliens. I think any fan of this movie instantly felt the storyline in Avatar. Not to say some of Dances wasn't borrowed either....
One of my local Target stores was sold out as well and another had 1 copy left.

Adding the question mark in there let's me see what he is going for.
I always ask my good friend Avatar about the quality of remakes.

I know you're asking avatar, but I haven't seen Dances with Wolves, so I can't answer that.

Thanks for the update! Nabbed it for $10.21 total with the coupon and the Target Red Card (what what!). The price cut wasn't advertised on the shelf, but it rang up at $14.99. Hope I actually like the film :-)

Blind buys are always risky - even if the price is right. What if Catwoman, The Adventures of Pluto Nash, and Battlefield Earth were $1 for all 3 - certainly the deal of the year. But imagine the poor person who devoted valuable shelf space to these, then actually tried to watch them - the cost of lost time and brain cells doesn't make up for the money saved.
Personally, I love Dances With Wolves, but I know there's some people who don't like it. It's always safest to Try before you Buy.

Thanks WMAangel for the coupon and PGHFlyer for the heads up on the Target price. I had to go by Target anyways and I grabbed the last copy.

Agreed. Thanks for mentioning the Target deal in this thread. Even though it's only a few dollars, I had to go to Target anyway, and I wouldn't have looked for DWW at the new price without seeing this thread. Though I go there almost weekly, I don't waste much time looking at movies because it's usually the same-old, same-old. The handful of sub-$10 BDs they have I already own or don't want. $14.99 catalog BDs don't even tempt me... only brand new releases.
My store had 2 copies of DWW with the $14.99 tag in front (who knows if they had more in the back). Now I can return my $18 - $5 coupon Walmart one. I saved $3! WOW! Of course I have to wonder why Target didn't have it at this price the first week. Did it not sell well enough or were they planning to do a price drop the second week?
What I have to laugh most about Target is while I was returning something else at the counter I mentioned I was going to get DWW since the price had dropped $4 since last week. She said we do price adjustments within 14 days. I told her I hadn't bought it at Target (yet) because Walmart was cheaper last week. She repeated the 14 day pricematch thing. I restrained myself from saying that the 14 day thing is BS since I could just rebuy it at the new price and return the old one with the old receipt up to 90 days. The reason I didn't say anything is I didn't want them to call a manager or security guard over to tackle me because I mentioned a perfectly legal way around their stupid 14 day policy. I'd rather let the employees bask in their ignorance.

It's a sickness. I need help. I try to justify it by calling myself a "collector", but that doesn't always work :-) Although I am happy to report I haven't seen Catwoman, Pluto Nash or Battlefield Earth...and wouldn't blind but those (wait...for $1 you say?! Hmmm...)

If you guys don't see this at your local stores, ask an employee. My stores don't have a spot on the shelf for this, but when I looked at target.com it showed as Available at pretty much every store. After the 3rd store, I finally got smart and asked an employee. They were in the back room. He says there currently is no shelf location for this title. So if you guys don't see it, just ask!

First, I had purchased it for $19.99 and did not have the coupon at the time. I had been planning on returning it once I heard about the Walmart price.
So, I go in today to get a price adjustment and apply the coupon. She says the coupon cannot be applied because it is past the 2-day allowance. The representative then asks where it is in this week's ad for the new price. I mention that it is an unadvertised price drop. The rep tells me I cannot pricematch without an ad.
I say forget it ... I'll just go buy a new copy with the coupon and then return it to this receipt. The rep tells me I cannot do that and goes to talk to a manager. The manager comes back, gives me the price adjustment, and then in a separate transaction, applies the coupon.
I was very nice throughout the process, but even so, the rep did not look happy when I left.
