My Gone With The Wind came today. They look like they where returns, I really do not care. I pickup the 1st one for $27.99 and two day later they had it in my GF QPOTD at $26.05 she order it for me without knowing I order it (I order her all the screams as a here you go baby, and he knows I wanted it). Also F.Planet came today going to add it to my DVD Tin box set, and 20,00000 miles to earth. Someone even send me a All Star Superman (I have no clue who yet).

Side note (do not flame me). I have a extra copy of Sound of Music box to trade for Wizard or OZ or 10 comms box if anyone has one.

Looks like they may have finally responded to my lower price notification I sent them 2-3 weeks ago where it is $44.99 at Costco (of course, Amazon has to do their usual $1.50 above the competitor's price, for whatever reason).

Those $6.99 Amazon BDs are similar to what Fry's keeps advertising as 2 for $12 (which are actually just $6 each). I guess Sony is offering some of their lesser catalog titles cheap to various stores. I'm surprised Vertical Limit isn't on this list. The bummer of it is that other than Vertical Limit and Legend of Zorro which I already got for $6 each, none of the other titles are really stuff I'd upgrade my existing DVDs to BD @ $6.99 each. (I've never seen Go, Southland Tales, or Tailor of Panama so they'd be too expensive for blind buys.) Plus you have to be really careful with Sony BDs and read the reviews first. Quite often Sony drops extras from the DVD to their BDs (and quite often they go the cheapskate route of BD-25 instead of BD-50), so if you care about extras your average Sony BD may not be sufficiently complete to let you get rid of your DVD. Same with Fox too. One can never assume any BD carries over all the previous extras, though by all logic they should.

I don't know the exact formula, but it would be because you'd have to pay sales tax at Costco (or other retailers) and Amazon figures they can charge a little more while still making the total cost less than you'd pay with $44.99 + tax.

Better, the price may really be as low as $38.99. For some reason the items aren't listed at that price, but several folks have gotten CSR to adjust their order price. I'm not entirely sure which is the price mistake, but it can't hurt to ask. It looks like Amazon has already removed the 38.99 insert I saw an hour or so ago on the site though there are screen captures of this
on another deal forum.

Other sites are reporting that the deal originally was $38.99 per season, but it was probably a pricing error. Still, some people are reporting that they have contacted Amazon and had their prices adjusted down to $38.99. Maybe it's worth a try.

Earlier today, the blu ray page had an ad for the sale and a price listed underneath it as 38.99 a season.

That has since been taken down.

Sorry, this is what the page looked like earlier today. Amazon has since taken this down so the 38.99 may have been the mistake. If you ordered earlier then you may be able to get an adjustment, I'm not sure what will happen for those folks who order after the ad was changed.
