Has anybody seen a review of this? I have the DVD already and wonder how much of an improvement it is. Solid image on Blu-ray from Dark Sky Films showing good, even, grain. It is clean and reminds me of a Blue Underground transfer exporting the integrity of the film. This is dual-layered with excellent detail and some depth. Contrast and colors appear adept - perhaps a shade dull. There is a touch of noise here and there but no significant black-marks. This seems a healthy step-up from SD-DVD. Magic probably didn't look too different over 35-years ago theatrically. This Blu-ray has a strong bitrate and pleasing, consistent, visuals. No complaints. |

I went ahead and bought the standard DVD version of The Walking Dead Season 1 from Amazon since it was only $9.99 and I got tired of waiting for the BD to go down in price and I talked myself into it by reasoning that there would probably be a good BLUray deal on the entire series set one day and I can double dip then...

Thanks, liz. Snow White was the only classic Disney Blu-ray I had not got around to buying. Scooped it up for $17.99. I'm just hoping Amazon includes the cover slip, otherwise I'll just return and pick it up from Best Buy. This one goes back into "the vault" 4/30!

Looks like they just dropped Monsters vs. Aliens down to $13.49. I wonder if this means that they'll be dropping Pinocchio down to Target's price as well.
