Didn't Gamestop stop selling DVDs? And, no, I haven't bought used DVDs there or used games for that matter. Like I said, I don't care if something used is being sold (I actually buy a lot of CDs this way) just as long as it's not being sold/presented as new.

I picked up The Relic the other day. The price was too tempting. Of course, I finally break down and get prime just for this sort of stuff and despite being in stock when I ordered it's now back-ordered. :(

The point he was trying to makes is that Gamestop opens product to put empty boxes on shelves, but then turns around and still tries to sell that product to you as new, even though for all you know the employees could have been playing it.

I figured he was talking about the used DVDs they use to sell since this is a forum about DVDs. My misunderstanding. At least in this case, you know the item has been opened before you buy it. (And, I wouldn't for full price.) That's still different than resealing it and putting it back on the shelf or selling it on Amazon as new. So, no, I personally wouldn't buy an opened box at Gamestop for full price.

And, I did see that Cliffhanger was cheap. It was in my Quick Picks yesterday and I bit.

Agreed. I bought Bioshock 2 from them for PS3 and was surprised when a European copy arrived. Granted, it would probably still work on my PS3, but dammit, I paid for a standard North America copy and had them take it back. Piece of Mind, my ass...

The Marketplace seller listed here are to be avoided at all costs. They constantly list things as NEW or LIKE NEW that are anything but. I bought a "LIKE NEW" title from them that looked like Jim Carrey had flossed his teeth with.

The return through Amazon was smooth, but with the way this seller consistently mis-grades and over-grades items, I have no idea why Amazon continues to fulfill their sales and process their returns and refunds. I have a feeling they would have a lot more negative feedback if Amazon wasn't involved in settling their disputes. You would think there would be stricter guidelines for Fulfillment sellers seeing as how they allegedly have Amazon fronting for them.

Interesting. I've bought a few things from this seller, but it's been quite a while since my last order from them. I've never bought used from them, and each time I got pristine copies with security stickers still firmly in place. If their service and representation of merchandise has gone downhill, I'll have to think twice about buying from them again.

I've bought from pieceofmindmedia around 20 times and have never had a negative experience. If prices are close to other sellers, I always choose them over anyone else.

Pieceofmindmedia is very hit-or-miss, I have had several bad transactions buying from them. They often will re-shrinkwrap media (CD, DVD, Blu-ray) items and try to pass them off as new. It has happened too many times for it to be anything but a conscious act on their part.

I avoid them whenever possible now, unless they are significantly cheaper than trusted sellers.

Just out of curiosity guys, does anyone know when the last time the BSG: Complete Series BD set was either the Deal of the Day, Lightning Deal, or Blu-ray Deal of the Week? I've wanted to get it for the last week or so but I'm trying to decide to wait and see if it pops up soon or just get it. If it's been either of the above recently, I know not to bother waiting and just purchase it.

I don't think $150 is that bad of a price for the set anyways..

A odd deal but not what I order. They had all the Babylon5 on sale last year. $99. Being a big fan of the show I order it. They sent me Battlestar blu-ray (old box) in its place. I told them and they said I could keep it for that price or send it back for a refund.
