Does the Let the Right One In BD have the corrected theatrical subtitles? Did the first pressing have the same problems as the DVD?

I ordered this one about a month ago from Amazon, and the copy I received had the corrected subs, so I'd say it's fairly safe to assume that's what they're shipping now. :)

^ Thanks, I just ordered it. I've heard such great things about the movie that it likely would have been a week one purchase if it hadn't been for the subtitles issue. With this price, I'm glad I waited.

I winced when I saw that too. I got in on the $16 deal at DD a few weeks (months?) back, and was stuck in backorder limbo ever since...then lo and behold, they shipped me Season 1 just a few days ago. Still waiting on Season 2.

Too bad Amazon hasn't dropped the price on Season 2 to $13.99 also. I would cancel that backorder with DD in a heartbeat.

You may want to do your homework on this one. The U.S. release initially had major subtitle differences, for which I think they were resolved, but not sure. This is a link from the DVDCompare.net page.

In addition, if you care about such things as I do, the U.S. release does not contain the director/author commentary. I ended up getting the UK release.

Hopefully clappj's post means that there aren't any more copies with the botched subs in Amazon's warehouse. Though, it won't be hard to obtain a replacement if you do receive the wrong one. And $9 is a pretty damn magical price. :up:

But I also recommend the Momentum UK version. It's a bit more expensive at $17 over at Amazon UK, yet it does have a few added special features, the theatrical subs, and a Master Audio track. Plus, they've released some new tie-in artwork for Let Me In that's extremely sexy. I ordered it myself over Black Friday and received the new re-pressing, though I've read of others who ordered it at the middle of last month and ended up with the old packaging. Same disc, just looks different.

I think everyone is EVIL at this site. How many of us put the "Hay it this much(Drugs)" in front of us. Like any good drug we buy it :)) We are Junkies ok Movies Junkies! This is the 7th Amazon Thread since Sept (I think?)

So far since Black Fri, my drug use is up. I stay away from the Deep Fryer, just in case. :)


Side note for my Man Chair the Harmony 700 just came today. No battery but still. $79.99.

If we're making the analogy to drugs, I OD'd over BF week. But now I'm done spending and I'm just watching my orders come trickling in. Got a notice from Amazon that my copy of Mad Men Season 2 BD shipped today. I guess seasons 1 and 3 were more popular since they haven't shipped yet, but it'll be a few months before I get to the Mad Men BDs so I don't really care.

You might want to check Wal Mart as well. Recently some blu's have started to show up pre-wrapped @ $10. Sherlock Holmes has been one of the titles.
