Not sure what is so hideous about the spine... The Paramount logo and the Iron Man 2 logo on a spine is "hideous"?

The spine isn't in any of the pictures. One picture shows the side where you open the case, but the spine on the other side isn't shown.

Well it's just the fact that it doesn't go from the top to the bottom of the case, and that it looks like the logo isn't even center from left to right.

I tried to price-match this morning and Target says they don't price-match "doorbuster" prices. Their decision was cemented when they looked at the big price gap between $36.99 and $21.99. Perhaps there will be a better chance with next week's Best Buy ad.

What does "vending machine" mean in this context? And how does a gift receipt factor into getting a Best Buy price match?

the receipt for the iron man 2 at target doesn't mention anything about the steelbook case, so i think a PM next week should be possible. heres to hoping!

The logo is centered from left to right. At least, it is on mine.

my local target had a grand total of 6 Metal Packs in the store, I was the first one in this morning when the doors open my number is pretty high as well it was 25100. but it was the lowest of the 6 in store which ranged from 25603 to the highest being 29364. the stock boy was asking me why i was spending the time examineing each movie, i said cause you guys have a tendency to ruin cases cramming them into these security cases so i want to make sure i get one thats not damaged and plus find the lowest number possible as they are numbered.


I was able to get customer service to price match bestbuys 24.99 price inspite of the metalpack being a target exclusive (thought it wouldnt be a issue considering that other stores with exclusives have done this before) they wouldnt match the 22.99 price though cause they said it was a timed sale. I also had a 10.00 target coupon good for any item in the store that i got in the mail that i used so i paid only 14.99 plus tax out the door, and the manager told me when i asked if i could get a additional price match next week when bestbuy has the combo set priced for only 19.99 and was told yes aslong as its within 7 days of my purchase. so this might be ymmv but just wanted to let others know you should be able to get a price adjustment.

It also doesnt say 2 on it either so you will want to bring atleast the insert with the UPC with your other wise they might give you a issue about it being iron man2.
I got mine price matched today when i bought the metalpack and the manager said i can get it matched further next week, as long as its before 7 days, but i am going to be brining my bluray upc insert with me so they can again see its indeed iron man 2

My local Target had about 10-12 of them.

I went during my lunch to just see how the case looked. I didn't plan on buying it because it was way too expensive, and I only thought movie was just ok. But with all the reviews of how great the video and extra is, I was planning to get it next week on Best Buy. But when I saw that it was the last copy they had, and looked pretty good(hate the regular cover art), my collector's mentality kicked in and I bought it
But when I got home, I kinda regret it and was planning to return it, but if they can price match, I am definitely keep this one.

Yes they do price match. You have to bring in the Best Buy ad yourself and it has to be the actual ad, not a print out. And you take the item to guest service to buy it.

Yeah they quietly started price matching again about a year or so ago, since you allready have purchased it just go to the customer service counter with the bestbuy ad and your reciept. and since you allready bought it you will probably ( but not allways) need to bring the movie with you or atleast the paper from the back with the barcode cause they do allready purchased price matches as a return and then resell it to you at the lower matched price and give you the difference, in this case about 13 dollars and some change.

but its really important you have the ad physically in your hand they arent like bestbuy where they will just match if you have a print out or it on your web browser on your phone.
you have 7 days from date of purchase to price match so if you want to wait till sunday and have them match it at the lower 19.99 price you can do that.

Nice i think your the first person so far to get them to price match the door buster price. Congrats nice to know that some Targets are willing match the 21.99 price even though its a door buster.

I agreed. The steel case cover art is a lot better than the original one. For me, the iron man in the original blu ray cover art has that silver color chest is ugly.

I went to 2 Target stores during lunch time and none of them has it. I hope it is not too late. I will try the Target near my house when I get home. The worst case I will order online. Can I do price match if I bring the BB ad and the print out of the online receipt to the store?

99% sure you won't be able to do that since the online store is completely separate from Target B&M. They can't match their own online prices or anyone elses

I also found out from the Target website saying they have an an exclusive look behind the scenes of Iron Man 2 and it said only at Target. I wonder if it is the extra stuff that only Target version has it.

Unfortunately no you will not be able to get a price match on a target.com order, and you can not do instore returns on target.com orders either i believe. No your best bet is to try calling a store and hope that if they do have them instock still that you get a person in the electronics dept willing to put one aside for you till you get there. A friend of mine at work who is stuck at work till 4pm called another Target near his house trying to do this but was denied cause they said its first come first serve and they arent allowed to hold it even for a few mins time to get to the store. Though it could just be a instance of a employee on a power trip.

B&M will always take .com orders for return. just need .com reciept. won't get back shipping though.

Not true. Target.com fulfills most of their media orders by using amazon.com and therefore do not typically match their website. They actually don't sell it, someone else does.

Now in the case of Target exclusive case, idk. It may be fulfilled differently, but from what I've always read heard they won't take them. Target is an exception, not the rule.
