Photoshop...and it looks like a prototype design/illustration. The alien head is longer/lower on the egg and the added airbrushing/lighting is adding more drama to the piece. The base is different too. The other picture looks like the final product.

Price is down to $93.09 on Amazon. (for some reason it shows up at the bottom suggestions of my Gold Deals page and i am able to add it to my cart at this price, but when i click on the item page it shows $97.99)
