Re: Movie Gallery Closings

Jason, Great video on the cases. The Elite cases are a little cheaper than you say in the video. I just placed an order for 50 from discmakers for $27 which includes shipping. I believe you get 100 cases for $43 including shipping.

I don't normally post e-bay stuff, but I've found this seller to have the best product at the most affordable prices.....small quantities and large! :

Search for "Bay520's Case Lots and More"...he's a fast shipper, too!

Every time I got to hear the stories how within the first 1-2 weeks they knew they were closing that they threw out massive numbers of BD, DVD, game cases, Ethernet cables, and other stuff in the dumpsters. Since then they tell me they haven't had a single extra anything, and whatever gets damaged out they have to send back to the liquidator (cases included).
Lol, actually we do a dumpster dive in one of our videos and came out with ps3 cases, Xbox 360 cases, and a shitload of cables.

Very cool. Thanks for the correction, i'll add an annotation to the video with the correct info. I knew something was off.

Damn, I wish I could get The Proposal for $2.99. Heck, I'd pay $7 for it.

Great videos. Very entertaining. However, I should be watching this stack of BD's and not watching other obsessive nuts buying them.

Thanks for the info on that eBay seller. I contacted him with a specific quantity in mind and he was very responsive and accommodating. Like Krazy Jason (and the other Jason), I can't bear to leave these PV BDs in DVD cases.

No doubt! I bought a pack of 25 cases.. and somehow managed to only buy 25 previewed movies! Kinda strange.. but cool too!

Re: Movie Gallery Closings

I'm short about 5 single BD cases, a few double BD cases, and a couple quadruple BD cases (for things like Heroes S2). I guess I should contact Bay520 to see if he's willing to do smaller orders of mixed types. I've never bought anything from eBay before, so I'm not sure if there's a way to work out a deal with the seller for custom quantities of different types of cases and then buy it since he wouldn't have an auction for the combination of stuff I need.

I asked Discmakers about ordering different types of items, and they stand firm that for each different type of case you order, you must order at least 25 and they will charge you a $4 shipping fee (in addition to several cents per disc) per type of case you order. Since I don't need 25 of each and would have to pay $4 x 3 base shipping each (before the cost and shipping fee per disc), I need to order from someone more accomodating of small orders.

I'd contact him....the cases I've got, in any order, have all tended to come in sealed packs of 5. I told him I'd posted his ebay name here, so hopefully he can work something out for you.

Re: Movie Gallery Closings

I'm sure people already do, but if you have some leftover empty single BD cases and need some dual cases then you can always throw out some expired/used digital copies and swap them around to accomodate some of MG multi disc finds.
So do you get pretty much the same kind of cases from discmakers and the guy from ebay? And the general consensus pretty much is that the ebay guy is mostly cheaper/better?

Re: Movie Gallery Closings

Bay520 was accommodating with me. I think you need quantities of 5 each, but he put up a custom auction for what I wanted.
