Probably the two BDs given the low price point.

Re: Best price on "The Wizard of Oz"?

So the 4 discs in the UCE are 1) blu - main feature + bonus features 2) blu - additional bonus features 3) dvd - when the lion roars doc and 4) dvd - digital copy

Is that correct?

no you said "dvd - digital copy" which could imply that it's a dvd version of the movie along with a digital copy.

Only if you believed that the poster meant disc 1 was a blu + blu with special features and main feature AND disc 2 was a blu + blu with additional special feature AND disc 3 was a dvd + a dvd copy of when the lion roars.

Come on, it was really crystal clear what the question was. 4 discs, 2 bds and 2 sd dvds.

Actually no - you can't put the digital copy on your settop player and play it, so it isn't a DVD.

The correct answer is: 2 BDs, 1 DVD and 1 DVD-ROM (which contains an SD digital copy).

We do a thread every week where we list all of that week's major new releases and the prices at the major retailers. This title will definitely be a big part of next week's thread. Look for it to go up tomorrow afternoon.

I think it's also part of the GWTW set, so that's another opportunity to get it. That would make the small 2 BD set (if that's really what it is) more attractive.

Honestly, now that I have read the review of the box set at dvdmg.com and their full disc by disc breakdown, I'd be OK just getting the one Blu-ray disc for the $19.99 price....almost all of the special features actually related to the film are on the same BD as the movie itself...the bonus BD mostly just has older/other films and TV movies and a few featurettes not directly related to the movie that I think I could live without for the cheaper price...
Of course if the Walmart version does have both BDs included, I won't be complaining either, I'm just saying...

I'm definitely leaning towards the Walmart edition now, unless the Target set is identical to the German edition - in which case I'll go with that.

I wasn't planning on buying this at all, but since this Wal-Mart version has reared it's money-stealing head...I might have to...I mean come on, classic.

No, its 2 BD's, 1 DVD Video and 1 DVD-ROM (which contains an SD digital copy). Or simply put its 2 BD's and 2 DVD's.

He finally did, and found only one disc labelled "Disc 1". It was apparently missing a disc, since why would a disc numbered 1 if it's the only disc. The other posters asked him about the disc's content but he hasn't replied.

Other posters said their Walmart stores insisted the blu-ray wouldn't be in store until 9/29. So this guy (who also acted like an a-hole) is probably a lowly Walmart clerk who stole a showroom stock copy that wasn't supposed to be bought and announced it on the internet to get attention.

I've seen DVDs released where they release a 2 disc and a 1 disc and the 1 disc is just the 2 disc set without disc 2 so the disc would say Disc 1. That's all Wal-Mart is doing. Unless the Target one comes with everything (minus the watch) it looks like I'll be spending the $55 at Best Buy.

So if you see it in store and you apply the printable 50% coupon you can get the UCE for $31.50
The 50% would be taken off of the list price ($89.99).

Does the 50% come off the "list price" or the "sale price"? Thanks!
