Are these Amazon $9.99 Blu-Rays permanent price reductions or just temporary?

Not that it's a $9.99 title, but Harry Potter years 1-6 box set on Blu-Ray was $76.99 yesterday on Amazon and today it jumped to $92.99. That surely ended any chance of my ordering the box set which I was borderline on yesterday at $76.99. Guess I'll wait until the series is complete and they incorporate the SD Ultimate edition material into a new Blu-Ray box set.

I don't think it's permanent, but a lot of these same titles have been on sale at these prices for months. Amazon's prices can fluctuate so wildly that buying from them could be considered a form of gambling.

I noticed that Batman Begins was $13.49 for a long time, went up to around $20 a few days ago, and then a couple of days later was down to $12.49.

Too true. I go through the links in the main post 3-4 times a week to weed out anything that's spiked in price. I keep track of what's been removed from the list, and almost everything that jumps up from $8-$11 seems to make its way back down to that price point within the following weeks, or, as Josh noted, even cheaper. ;) Just gotta be ready to pounce when they do.

Elsewhere is down to $9.99, and Blow has dropped back down to that price point, as well.

Terminator Blu-Ray is now $7.49.

I ordered it for $7.99 a few days ago, and now I've lost a whole 50 cents! How will I survive? Seriously though, if it weren't in the "shipping soon" state I'd probably just reorder it with the other stuff and cancel the old order. I know Amazon guarantees preorder prices and does not pricematch themselves once something has shipped, but will they adjust the price before it ships (even if it's not a preorder... just something being held by shipping items together) or if it's in the shipping soon state? Just curious.
