Babylon A.D. is $12.00.

Street Fighter is 10 bucks and I admit I am considering it.

The transfer is one of the most frustratingly inconsistent I've ever seen though - it ranges from reasonably sharp to almost VHS quality.

re: Amazon.com Discounts and Deals on Blu-ray

really? fuck...from what the review on DVDtalk and DVDbeaver says:

DVDtalk:
There are at times some definite trouble spots with a presence of noise throughout, which was to be expected. Also, at times, it seems as if the focus might be off, but that could be because "The Dirty Dozen" is fairly soft throughout the movie. Even with its few troubles, "The Dirty Dozen" is has a very nice transfer
DVDbeaver:
The presentation suffers not from a poor transfer, but from the inconsistencies that arise from the elements used (which we can presume are the best available). So although it looks better than it ever has - some scenes are decidedly weaker than others with some light scratches/speckles and haziness - most probably inherent in the print itself. Without my undue complaining it really does look pretty strong with the infrequent weaknesses bringing you back to earth and reminding you that the film is 40 years old. Warner's VC-1 encode makes the most of the image just don't expect perfection. Detail can have some exquisite moments and colors may be a shade washed. It is - what it is... and for me that is good enough. Black levels show fair contrast and grain, or fine noise is thankfully visible at times. I appreciated the consistency in outdoor scenes. Overall, it is a very satisfying image presentation that excels over the past SDs have owned. The feature film on the Blu-ray takes up 22.6 Gig of the dual-layered disc.
I'm a tad confused by that bit that I bolded. Was DD's actual film not really taken care of or what?

I dunno, but for $10 bucks i'd say you can't go wrong on this one.

Amazon is not price matching Walmart? Although they do have better prices on some of these.

I thought the quality on DD was good all things considered.

Picked this up last summer when Amazon previously offered at this price. Is PQ stellar? No, but it more than gets the job done and the overall package is very solid, even if the included tv movie is a stinker--especially at this price. Enjoy!

Deep Discount now has Dirty Dozen for $9.59 -- for those who want to save 40 cents and don't want to find $25 worth of stuff for free shipping.

Surveillance [Blu-ray] has dropped to $16.99. I've been watching it for a few weeks, and that's the lowest price I've seen. Usually it's around $20.

For a Blu-ray it was somewhat of a disappointment however the SD was so bad it was still a big step up.

Jennifer's Body is now $12.99. Pondering whether or not it's worth that price...

Is there anyway to receive updates when prices drop on Amazon? I thought there was a link a while back for some sort of app via Firefox that worked similar to that?

I don't know, I put what I have interest in into the cart and check it a few times a day, the cart has an update when prices change.
