I want to bite on "Angel Heart" (I've never seen it before but it sounds pretty good), but it looks like they left off well over an hour of extras from the previous DVD release. Why do studios do this? Ugh!

I think all Blu should at a minimum have all the extras of it's DVD counterpart (previous or current release)... then to make it better... newer extras to entice folks to embrace the format..

It's bizarre. There's not even a menu, pop-up or otherwise. I don't think it's possible for a Blu-ray disc to be stripped down to bare metal any further than that.

Could it be a rental copy? Some DVDs are stripped of all extras for rental release, maybe Blu as well?

I bought it from DeepDiscount.com, and the packaging looks normal enough. I don't think they'd do that for a low-priced catalog title from 2006 anyway. I guess it was just Anchor Bay cheaping out.

Rental versions have a logo at the bottom that says "rental exclusive".

Can't they ever select titles that I want, like A River Runs Through It, 12 Monkeys or even the last 2 Friday the 13th films I want (#2 and #3)? :(
