Were they on a 2nd BD? Or a different pressing/release? Anyone think just the extras are worth $10?

Single disc--different pressing.

Far, far better.

Here's the Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/Stargate-Anniv...1196602&sr=8-1

Requiem for a Dream is $7.99 right now. I bought it for 10 earlier this year. Great flick.

Funny thing is, "Dream" was in my gold box Friday morning for $11 and change and when I checked back Friday evening, it was $7 and change.

"Dream", -like the "Rambo" films, -seems to have been "on sale" about three days a week for the last few weeks.

I heard it comes with the 1951 movie minus the extras. Does anyone know if they took away all of the extras or just some? I couldn't find any reviews with details. Also, did they go from a 50 GB to a 30 GB Blu-Ray for the 1951 movie in the 2008 version? Too bad they couldn't have just included the complete 1951 disc in the 2008 version.

I've never seen the 2008 version. I already bought ID4 from Target for $6.99. So I can either:
1. Return ID4 to Target, keep the $17.88 2 pack, and never buy the 1951 version (skipping the extras).
2. Keep ID4 from Target, return the 2-pack, buy the 1951 version (which I thought was good but very slow and hard to watch) with its extras for $10 at Amazon, and wait for a better price on the 2008 version.

I'm still leaning toward #1 as I don't care about extras that much unless I really like the movie. I guess I missed my opportunity to rent the 2008 version at Redbox for $1 as they only keep the latest movies.

1) They took away all of the extras.
2) You mean a BD25. DVD Beaver is down so I can't see how much space the feature takes up; perhaps it's on a BD25, but I'd guess BD50. It doesn't really matter.

I'd go with choice #3:
Keep ID4 from Target (since $6.99 for it is better than the $8.94 cost of it in the two pack), return the two pack (and forget about the inferior Keanu remake), print out the $3 off coupon for the 1951 version from the Smartsource website, go to Best Buy and get it (with all its great extras) there for only $6.99.... :)

EDIT: Thanks, WMAangel and awil1026. So the $9.99 sale price on The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) is a stealth sale at Best Buy. The shelf tag was wrong too. Sadly the $3 off coupon comes off after taxes, but I guess it's good enough to go with choice #3 since everyone hates the Keanu Reeves version so much. The $3 Big Lots previously viewed SD DVD of the 2008 version will be good enough for me then.

Today is my last day of free Prime, so I'm hoping they have some new deals today! :)

Requiem for a Dream is in my gold box for $7.59. But I don't feel the need to upgrade it. I'll probably only watch it once...

It would seem that the $20 list price Lions Gate titles are going for $7.99 right now. Cutthroat Island and Ninth Gate are also $7.99.

Just snagged 'Angel Heart' in the nick of time - my prime trial literally expired not 5 minutes after placing the order.

Or you could go with choice #4:

Pick it up at Best Buy for $4.99 using the Target coupon.

And someone even reported getting it for $1.99 at Target combining the two coupons and pricematching the Best Buy online price. Obviously that's a huge YMMV.

Sadly, not The Monster Squad though....$19.99 list price, still $11.99 at Amazon....I'd bite right away at $7.99, but not $11.99.....
