Walmart's prices on the Ben-Hur and West Side Story sets are still good.

You can probably get Duck Dynasty DVD 1/2/3 for 4.96 after 5.00 coupon at coupons.com

I say "probably" because technically the coupon is for another S1-S3 set, but it worked for me. YMMV. I was thinking of returning this set, but I did a return/rebuy, so for 5 bucks I'll check it out.

No, they don't. A Christmas Carol is the same but that is a more modern (and inferior) version of Miracle on 34th Street. The other two films... no thanks.

re: Walmart / walmart.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

just got back from walmart. Was very surprised to see a semi-BLack Friday carousel of Blu-rays at $4.96. Most of these seemed to be the ones on sale at BF for $3.96, just $1 more. X-men trilogy, Die hard trilogy, etc. But there were a few that I didn't expect - Die Hard 5 and Prometheus. They also had Speed and all the Ice Age films.

It was a pretty big carousel - box shaped, colored blue - in the movie section. Hard to miss it.

I saw it. Picked up the following Blu-rays for $4.96:

X-Men: First Class (bare bones, no special features)
Fantastic Four
Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer
The Rocky Horror Picture Show: 35th Anniversary Edition
It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (Will replace with the Criterion Collection version later. Just wanted to replace my VHS tape of it.)

Why not spend an extra dollar and grab the regular version from Amazon?

I picked up the Family Guy Blue Harvest and It's a Trap. They moved the display at the Parkesburg, PA location to a table next to the register. I wanted the Die Hard, but wanted the special features, so I passed on that. Great deals though!

I would have to also pay $3.99 shipping + sales tax, and wait at least a week for it.

Just wanted to replace the DVD copy. I don't watch special features much.

Walmart is getting rather smart in making sure their customers see the sales.

Wait- there are multiple version of Die Hard Blu-ray? I only thought there was one! The Die Hard BRs I bought from WM on BF all had special features. Are you saying the version they have now is feature-less?

A good day to die hard is the movie only version for $5. It has different cover art as well so you should easily be able to tell a difference.

Yeah, that is the one I saw. That practice is pretty shitty. A lot of rentals are that way too, so I don't rent often.

I saw the Jurassic Park: Ultimate Trilogy Blu-ray set with digital copy codes for $39.96.

But I found & picked up the Blu-ray/DVD/Digital copy set of each movie for $7.88 each in the Blu-ray dumpbin.

It pays to look deep into the bin.

Did they have slips? They must have added some new blu rays in the bin. We're there any other new ones they added to the bin?

No slipcovers. The only new ones I saw were Batman (1989) and Batman & Robin. No slipcovers on both.

I just need the first Jurassic Park but I can never find one with slip but for 7.88 I can pass on it. I wish they had Batman Forever for that price as well

re: Walmart / walmart.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

I still saw in the bin some of the $3.96 Blu-rays they were selling on Black Friday. Found the first 4 Die Hard movies, but not much of a difference in price between buying the complete set of all 5 movies, and buying the first 4 at $3.96 each and the last one separately. And the $3.96 copy of Live Free or Die Hard I found was the PG-13 version. No thank you.

Found, in a security case, and picked up Kill Bill Vol. 1 for $3.96 (it ringed up at that price).

re: Walmart / walmart.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

just saw Games of Thrones Season 1 BR, DVD and Digital Copy package for 7.88!
I double checked the price tag and yup, it was 7.88.

I don't remember when any major series had an entire season of BR/DVD for that price!

Of course, fans of the show (like me) already have S1 (and S2, and..).

But if you have never seen the show, or were always thinking of getting the BR set, now is the time.

I have the BR S1 and the PQ is awesome.

Have no idea of how long this price will last.. I don't remember seeing this as a sale item anywhere.
